Radical Resistance to Xenophobia

ArtUnited announces a call to artists for an exhibit in Brooklyn, NY. Who can become involved? Artists of all ages, cultural backgrounds, religions, races, genders, sexual orientations, economic backgrounds, nationalities and immigrant status who stand in defiance and resistance to the policies of this administration. We are looking for art that is visually compelling, thought-provoking, radical, edgy, and fearless! We call upon artists to come as activists - to challenge boundaries, and make courageous visual statements on behalf of the powerless and the voiceless. We are asking artists to donate works which will be made available for sale. We aim to keep the cost of the artwork affordable and accessible, so please price your work between $1 - $100. We welcome paintings, drawings, and photography but please limit your work to no larger than 30 inches in any direction. If you are a video artist, please contact us to discuss possibilities. The Erie Art Museum in Erie, Pennsylvania announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, April 22 - July 9, 2017. A total of $15,000: cash awards of $2500, including the Northwestern Pennsylvania Artists Association Award, and $12,500 in guaranteed purchases. Juror: William Wegman. 51st Annual Lewiston Art Festival

Lewiston Council on the Arts announces a call to artists for a juried art and fine craft competition and show on Aug 8 & 9, 2017 in the historic Village of Lewiston, NY. $5,000 in Prizes: 8 categories and Best Booth Display. The Rochester Contemporary Art Center in Rochester, NY seeks entries for RoCo6x6x2017, an international small art phenomenon now in its tenth year! Help us once again to build an incredible exhibition of thousands of artworks made and donated by celebrities, international and local artists, designers, college students, children, and you! Each artwork must be 6 by 6 inches (15 by 15 centimeters) or mounted to a 6-by-6 inch board. All artworks are displayed anonymously, so they should be signed only on the back. NJ Emerging Artists Series Call For Entries

The Monmouth Museum in Lincroft, NJ announces a call to artists for a series of solo exhibitions in the Nilson Gallery, 2017 - 2018. This exhibition opportunity is open to any artist who is a full-time resident of New Jersey, who is 18 years of age or older, and has not previously held a one-person exhibition in this State. This includes solo exhibitions in any public venue where work was exhibited for a period over three weeks, publicized in the media, and accompanied by an opening reception. If selected, proof of New Jersey residency is required. Artwork will be considered in all media, but must be wall-mountable.
