Flora & Fauna

Arc Gallery in San Francisco seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, June 17 - July 15, 2017. The three works that express the most imaginative interpretation of the theme will be awarded $250, copy of catalog, certificate & ribbon. Juror: Suzanne Gray. What plants or animals inhabit your Earthly Paradise? Are they life forms native to where you live or exotic flora and fauna from far reaches of the planet? Would you bring back extinct species, import life forms from other galaxies, or create phantasmagorical plants and animals from your imagination? All artists living in the western region of the United States are invited to submit entries for Art of Our Century, on exhibit June 1 - September 9, 2017 at Woodbury Art Museum in Orem, UT. $500 Best in Show. Juror: Nick Mendoza. The 2017 Art of Our Century show calls for art relating to the idea of movement in all forms. Art Movements, Kinetic or Social Sculpture, Video, physical fluidity, interactive design, and emotional instigators are just some examples of relevant entries. 24th Annual Maritime Art Exhibit

The Coos Art Museum announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, July 8 - September 23, 2017 in Coos Bay, Oregon. $750 Best of Show, $250 Port Award, $250 Director's Award, $250 People's Choice, four Honorable Mention awards. Jurors: Steve Mayo, June Carey, Paul Daneker, Ivan Kelly. Open to all artists producing original maritime themed art works in painting and sculpture, including members of American Society of Marine artists and International Society of Marine Painters. If you are submitting a work that is part of a series, the submitted piece must be unique and distinguishable from any of your other works of art. Creede Sculpture Show

The Creede Arts Council announces a call to artists for a juried art show, August 18-20, 2017 at Basham Park in Creede, CO. $1,000 total cash awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. CAC will purchase one sculpture for permanent outdoor display in Creede. Creede Sculpture Show is open to all artists working in a permanent medium. A unique community with a rich mining and ranching history, Creede has been recognized as one of the Best Small Art Towns with artists, galleries, a theatre and a summer tourism economy.
