Napa Lighted Art Festival

The City of Napa, CA seeks entries for the Napa Lighted Art Festival, December 9-17, 2017. Ten to fifteen original art works will be selected for display throughout the Napa Downtown and the Oxbow District, each receiving a $2,000 stipend. Jurors: Lewis deSoto, Mechele Manno, Milbert Mariano, Amy Owen, and Member of the City of Napa Public Art Steering Committee. The festival supports the innovative techniques using light and light technologies as a growing art medium. We are not looking for artworks where light is used only to illuminate your work. Light itself in any form should be the actual artwork and we require that the role of light be essential to your concept. We also strongly encourage new technologies and innovative use of light. Niza Knoll Gallery in Denver, CO seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, November 3, 2017 - January 6, 2018. Best of Show, 2nd and 3rd place. Winners get 4-week group exhibit at Niza Knoll Gallery in 2018. Juror: Patricia Aaron. Artists who incorporate encaustic in their art are invited to submit their work. The artwork submitted may be 2-D or 3-D. 2D work must not exceed 40" wide or weigh more than 25 lbs. For 2-D art that is shipped, the box must not exceed 48 x 48 x 12" wide, and must weigh less than 30 pounds. 2-D shipped art must not exceed 40" x 40" (including the frame if one is used), and must weigh less than 25 pounds. Dimensional pedestal art must not exceed 12"w x 12"d x 24"h, and must weigh less than 25 pounds. Installation art must not exceed 40"w x 40"d x 120"h, and must weigh less than 25 pounds. Open Call for Works Exploring Race & Identity

The LH Horton Jr Gallery at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, CA seeks entries for a group exhibition of 10 to 12 artists, February 22 - March 16, 2018.
