Expressions!

The Tracy Art League announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, February 17-23, 2018 at the Tracy Community Center in Tracy, CA. Up to $2,100 in Total Prize Money. Juror: Ilena Finocchi. Artwork Categories: Sculpture & 3D (50 lb weight limit), Oil and Acrylic, Watercolor, Pastel and Drawing, Graphics and Mixed Media, Glass. All artwork must be hand delivered and picked up. Work must have been completed within the last two years and not previously exhibited in an Expressions! exhibition. Expressions! Glickman McClure Artist Award 2018

The Pence Gallery in Davis, CA announces that the Glickman McClure Artist Award is currently accepting applications from visual artists. This Artist Award supports the creation of innovative artwork by emerging artists in California. This award is under-written by donors Mark M. Glickman and Lanette M. McClure, and offers an award of $2500 and a solo exhibit at the Pence for the following year. The qualifications for this award are that the artist's submitted work is of high caliber, original, and completed within the past five years. Preference will be given to artists who are under-recognized or 'emerging' in the art field, and who have a financial need for support to further their work. Paul Dyck Celebration of Archaeology in Art

The Verde Valley Archaeology Center announces a call to artists for an upcoming art show, March 17-18, 2018 at the Camp Verde Community Center in Camp Verde, Arizona. Best in Show: $750; Award of Excellence: $500; Award of Merit (3): $250; People's Choice: $500. The theme is "Art Inspired by Archaeology and Archaeology as Art." Subject matter is limited to archaeological subjects, including ancient dwellings, rock markings (rock art), landscape with archaeological features, or inspired by the ancient American Southwest textiles and pottery. The Coos Art Museum in Coos Bay, Oregon announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, April 27 - June 30, 2018. 1st: $1000, 2nd: $750, 3rd: $250, 4 honorable mention ribbons. Douglas County Art Encounters 2018-2019

Applications are now being accepted for this annual juried sculpture exhibit, held May 2018 - May 2019 in locations throughout Douglas County, Colorado (Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Parker, Roxborough). $800 stipend for selected artists, $1,000 People's Choice Award, and $1,000 Judge's Choice Award. Open to artists and/or artist teams over 18 years of age. All work must be the result of an independent and/or team effort that is original in concept and not the product of instructional guidance. Any sculpture that is a replica must include the edition and/or conventional description, location where the piece is available, as well as the serial number for that entry. Duplicate sculptures within a 60-mile radius of Douglas County will not be accepted. Any variety of materials may be incorporated, but the project in its entirety must require minimal to no maintenance.
