Tammy Anderson's work focuses primarily on emotive imagery designed to elicit a response from the viewer. Many of her paintings serve as social commentary. Inspiration is derived from contemporary issues as well as from the provocative works of the Expressionist painters artists such as Van Gogh, Munch, and Schiele. Her painting style, however, tends toward realism.

			"
My paintings are often introspective... yet they enable me to outwardly express myself and connect with the viewer.
I strive to find subjects which speak to me, and allow my empathy toward each one to guide my work, rather than adhering to a particular style, medium, technique, or palette.
