LowellArts announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, March 4 - April 15 in Lowell, MI. $2,000 in cash awards. Juror: Nichole Maury. Trails West!® Festival Artist Application Now Open

Trails West! Festival seeks artists for its 25th annual event, August 18-21, 2017 in historic Civic Center Park in downtown St. Joseph, Missouri. Cash prizes totaling $3,500. Artists, musicians and more gather for this three-day, outdoor festival to celebrate the unique heritage of St. Joseph every year, but the 2017 festival is extra special. As a result of St. Joseph being one of the prime locations to view the first total solar eclipse in 99 years, we will be welcoming approximately 50-500,000 additional tourists to the community and extending the festival an extra day! The Springfield Art Museum and Watercolor U.S.A. Honor Society seek entries for the 56th exhibition of Watercolor USA, June 3 - August 27, 2017 at the Springfield Art Museum in Springfield, Missouri. $1000, $1500, $2000, $3000 cash awards plus possible purchase awards. Juror: Laurin McCracken - President - Watercolor U.S.A. Honor Society. Artwork must utilize water-soluble paint as the primary medium. Sightlines, 2017-2019: Call for Entries

The South Bend Museum of Art (SBMA) is seeking large-scale two- and three-dimensional artwork for long-term display in Sightlines, a collaborative project between the SBMA and the Century Center in South Bend, IN. The two year exhibition (June 17, 2017 - May 19, 2019) will highlight 3 new artists alongside 3 current artists. $1000 stipend for each selected artist. A modest printed piece will also be produced. Biennial 29: Call for Entries

The South Bend Museum of Art's all media Biennial 29 will present a diverse look into contemporary artwork in the Midwest and is open to all artists residing in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin. The number of exhibiting artists is deliberately limited to allow for the showing of a greater body of work by each artist. This year's exhibition (July 8 - October 1, 2017) will be juried by Miranda Lash, Curator of Contemporary Art at the Speed Art Museum. $1,500 in awards will be selected by the juror and $1,500 in purchase awards will be chosen by the South Bend Museum of Art's Collections Committee. 13th Annual Magnitude 7

Manifest announces a call to artists for Magnitude 7, an exhibition that will be held June 2-30, 2017 at Manifest Creative Research Gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio. Every year Manifest produces an exhibit of little works of art from around the world. Each iteration of the project brings in hundreds of powerful yet diminutive works for our jury to consider. Inevitably we end up with a gallery full of diverse, compelling, and exquisite little gems. Manifest's patrons eagerly await the Magnitude 7 event each year. This annual project is one of the most varied exhibits in our season. So we are always excited to offer this call to artists to submit works no larger than seven inches in any dimension (any proportion). 10th Annual Horizontal Grandeur Juried Fine Arts Exhibition

The Stevens County History Museum in Morris, MN announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, June 22 - November 10. Awards for People's Choice, Artists Choice. Bill Holms' essay Horizontal Grandeur is the inspiration. Open to all residents residing in the United States or Canadian Providences with a prairie. All pieces must have a prairie related theme and be original to the artist. Paintings, drawings, photographs, fiber, hand-pulled prints, fired clay, mixed media, sculptures, etc. Oil paintings must be fully dry and framed. Drawings, prints, photography and watercolors must be framed and under glass (canvases do not need to be under glass). 2-D pieces must be ready to hang, including wires, and must not exceed 240 inches (overall perimeter measurement), frame included. 6th Annual Square Foot Show

The Bismarck Art & Galleries Association (BAGA) seeks entries for the 6th Annual Square Foot Show, August 1-25, 2017 in Bismarck, North Dakota. The show is open to all artists 18 years old or older. All artwork must be completed on the 12"x12" canvas provided by BAGA (Canvases are mailed when entry fee is received). Artwork must be signed with name printed clearly on the back. Canvases cannot be altered in size or shape and must be painted on a square grid, not angled. Artwork must be wired for hanging, no saw tooth hangers. All edges of the canvas must be painted. Artwork will be for sale at $130 each (taxes not included.) BAGA takes 30% commission.
