84th Annual Awards Exhibition

The National Sculpture Society announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, August 5 - October 29, 2017 at Brookgreen Gardens in South Carolina. Nearly $17,000 in cash & awards. Open to all sculptors. Please note that work that is inspired by nature - or - figurative or realist sculpture - is preferred. All entries are subject to jury. Works previously exhibited in an Annual NSS Exhibition are ineligible. All work will be juried anonymously from electronically submitted images. Sculptures may be in any permanent medium. Terracotta, Plaster, Ceramic and works in other fragile materials will be considered, but only on the condition that artists assume all responsibility for proper packaging and shipping of works. $40 entry fee. Ironic Design

As part of his MFA thesis research and exhibition, Blake Dodgen invites any artists or designers to submit work utilizing irony for an upcoming art exhibition, June 2-30, 2017 at Gadsden Museum of Art in Gadsden, AL. $200 best of show. Photographic call for entry "summertime"

A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, TX announces a call to artists for a juried photography exhibition, June 16 to July 30, 2017. Fifty to fifty five images will be selected by the juror, Sandrine Hermand-Grisel. A Blurb full color catalogue of the exhibit with all the accepted entries will be available for purchase. The Texas Biennial Open Call for Art

The Texas Biennial is open to all artists living and working in Texas. Artists attending Texas-based residency programs are eligible to apply, as long as the work was completed during the time spent in Texas. Artists living and working within 10 miles of a Texas border are also eligible to apply (Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Mexico). Artists will be selected on the basis of works entered. Works completed before 2015 or works shown more than twice in Texas since 2015 should not be entered. The Biennial will take place in the fall of 2017 in Austin, Texas and will be juried by Leslie Moody Castro, Curator and Artistic Director. You may enter work created in any media, with the understanding that the Texas Biennial exhibition venue and format may not be able to accommodate all work. In the case of work involving performance, installation, or some other element which may have not been physically realized at the time you apply, you must provide adequate written documentation describing the work.
