The Maryland Center for the Arts announces a call to artists for Harford Plein Air 2017, held October 8-15 at several locations throughout Harford County, MD. $10,500 in awards. Artists must be at least age 18 to apply. Upload 3 images of recent plein air work completed within the last two years and painted without the use of photographs. The Texas Biennial Open Call for Art

The Texas Biennial is open to all artists living and working in Texas. Artists attending Texas-based residency programs are eligible to apply, as long as the work was completed during the time spent in Texas. Artists living and working within 10 miles of a Texas border are also eligible to apply (Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Mexico). Artists will be selected on the basis of works entered. Works completed before 2015 or works shown more than twice in Texas since 2015 should not be entered. The Biennial will take place in the fall of 2017 in Austin, Texas and will be juried by Leslie Moody Castro, Curator and Artistic Director. You may enter work created in any media, with the understanding that the Texas Biennial exhibition venue and format may not be able to accommodate all work. In the case of work involving performance, installation, or some other element which may have not been physically realized at the time you apply, you must provide adequate written documentation describing the work. Submit Proposals for 1st Half of 2018 exhibit calendar

artspace announces a call to artists. artspace's Exhibition Committee will review proposals for the Main, Helena Davis, Frable and smallspace galleries for shows opening in the first half of 2018. Proposals may be made for individual, group or joint shows. Joint shows are shows for two artists with inter-related works who intend for their works to be shown together in the same gallery. Restrictions on frequency of shows: artspace's artist members are eligible to show in groups of 4 or less every 18 months. Non-members are eligible to show in groups of 4 or less every 36 months. There is no restriction on how often an artist may participate in group shows of 5 or more. All proposals must be submitted through the form online. $25 proposal fee required. The Exhibition Committee acknowledges each proposal and communicates with each artist with any questions or concerns regarding their proposal. Selected Exhibitors will be notified by July 15, 2017. 2018 Solo and Group Exhibitions

The The Rehoboth Art League (RAL) is a member-based, non-profit arts center, located in the resort town of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware - a highly traveled area not only by the residents of this and the expanding surrounding communities, but also by art patrons from the Washington DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and New York metropolitan areas. Over 29,000 people participate in Rehoboth Art League programs annually. Each year the RAL offers member and non-member group and solo shows, which are displayed in one of several gallery spaces. The Exhibitions Committee is in the process of organizing solo and group exhibitions for 2018. This is a very competitive program, as RAL can only accept a limited number of proposals each year. 21st Annual ArtWorks of Eau Gallie - A Juried Fine Arts Festival

ArtWorks of Eau Gallie announces a call to artists for a juried fine arts festival, November 18-19, 2017 in the Eau Gallie Arts District in Melbourne, FL. $20,000 in awards, including the $3500 Link Johnsten Best of Show Award, and $4000 in sponsor purchase awards. Works will be accepted in numerous media; and all work must be original by the artist. Open to all artists over the age of 18. This is a "working artists" show. 'Reflections in Pastel' Arkansas Pastel Society 7th National Competition

The Arkansas Pastel Society announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, November 10, 2017 -February 24, 2018 at Butler Center Gallery in Little Rock, Arkansas. Over $2500 in awards, including $1000 grand prize. Juror: Christine Ivers. Open to all artists at least 18 years old. Entries must be at least 80% soft or oil pastel. Entries must be original, unpublished and executed within the last three years. Paintings that have won an award at a national level exhibition are not eligible. Works produced in a class, workshop, or under another artist's supervision are not eligible. Images from Internet or copyrighted materials may not be used as source. Ocala Outdoor Sculpture Competition - Call to Artists

The City of Ocala in partnership with the Appleton Museum of Art, Fine Arts For Ocala, and Marion Cultural Alliance is accepting submissions from artists working in North America to participate in the Fourth Ocala Outdoor Sculpture Competition. Ten works will be selected for a 20-month exhibition (February 12, 2018 - September 16, 2019) at Tuscawilla Park in Ocala, FL. Firefly is a farm-to-table restaurant with an interest in local sustainable food movements, specializing in family friendly fare. Art works would be on display for a period of three to six months and would be sold off the wall. Fleda A. Ring Artworks will curate and advertise the works on their website and on social media. Due to the informal method of display and advertising, no commission will be collected.
