The D'Art Center in Norfolk, Virginia announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, February 20 - March 29, 2018. 1st Place: $500.00, 2nd Place: $300.00, 3rd Place: $150. Imagine 2018: Calling 2D, 3D, Fiber Artists & Photographers

Round Rock Arts (RRA) is accepting artwork submissions from all Texas artists for its 10th annual Imagine gallery show, a regional juried show of visual art. The opening of the two-month show will be held on March 3, 2018, at Texas State University-Round Rock. $6000 in artist awards across four categories: Photography, 2D art in any media, 3D: Sculpture & other dimensional art, and 3D: Fiber Art. Judges: Ted Keller, Victoria Star Varner, Joe Kenney, Dr. Cheryl Christian. All work must spring from the artist's own imagination or personal photo reference. The source of the final piece of art may not be a photo from the internet or taken by someone else. No work shall be submitted which has been done in a workshop or class environment. 2018 Public Art Exhibition on Hilton Head Island

Community Foundation of the Lowcountry's 2018 Public Art Exhibition on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina seeks proposals for large-scale outdoor sculpture engaged in a contemporary conversation about art within a natural environment. Bethesda Painting Awards

The Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District invites eligible artists to enter the Bethesda Painting Awards. Best in Show: $10,000; Second Place: $2,000; Third Place: $1,000; Young Artist (under 30 years old): $1,000. Jurors: Sally Bowring, Laura Roulet and Bill Schmidt. Artists must be 18 years of age or older and permanent, full-time residents of Maryland, Virginia or Washington, D.C. The selected artwork will be on exhibit in June 2018 at Gallery B in downtown Bethesda, MD. On Common Ground: 2018 Pastel Paintings from the Mountains to the Sea

Artists are invited to enter a juried pastel exhibition sponsored by the Pastel Society of North Carolina (PSNC) in conjunction with the Appalachian Pastel Society (APS) and the Piedmont Pastel Society (PPS). The exhibit runs May 11 - June 12, 2018 at The Art Shop, Greensboro, NC. There will be over $6,000 in awards including a $1,000 Best in Show, $750 First Place, $500 Second Place and $250 Third Place. The juror of Selection and Awards is widely recognized artist Liz Haywood-Sullivan, A Master Pastelist with the Pastel Society of America (PSA) and a Master Circle Recipient of the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS). Open to artists nationally but only to current members of at least one of the three North Carolina Pastel Societies and to artists over the age of 18 working in the soft pastel medium, 80% of the surface must be dry/soft pastel. Any work accepted in previous Statewide Exhibitions is not eligible for review. The Photographic Performance 2018

A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, Texas invites photographers to submit compelling solo or cooperative exhibitions. Three exhibition proposals will be selected to be exhibited in the Salon from either April 20 to May 20, May 25 to June 24, or June 29 to July 29. Artists are invited to enter the 2018 Gloucester Arts Festival Juried Show, held June 1-30, 2018 at Arts on Main, in Gloucester, Virginia. More than $5000 in total prizes and featured show. Juror: Jeff Harrison, Chief Curator Emeritus for Chrysler Museum, Norfolk, Virginia. Artists will be juried for inclusion in the show by submitting five digital images of original 2D oils, pastels, watercolors, acrylics, tempera, graphite, charcoal, original print or pen and ink work created in the last two years.
