Photographic call for submissions "vistas"

A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, TX seeks entries for a juried photography exhibition, November 3 to December 17, 2017. Fifty to fifty five images will be selected for exhibition. A Blurb full color catalogue of the exhibit will be available for purchase. Awards are $325 for Juror's Award, $250 for Director's Award, three Juror Honorable Mentions each receiving an exhibition catalogue, discretionary Director Honorable Mentions each receiving an exhibition catalogue and $100 for Visitors' Award. Juror: Dan Burkholder. Vistas: landscape, glimpse, seascape, view, overlook, horizon, scenery... Become Part of the 36th Smithsonian Craft Show!

The Smithsonian Craft Show held April 25-29, 2018 in Washington, DC is committed to presenting the most thoughtful, original, and skilled American craft and design objects. The Craft Show is looking for artists who produce one-of-a-kind and limited edition objects that have been conceived and perfected by the artist's own hands and created in the artist's studio. All work submitted to the Smithsonian Craft Show must be created and made in the United States. One hundred-twenty premier artists representing all facets of contemporary design and craft will be selected from a large pool artists nationwide. Artists working in the following media are eligible to apply: basketry, ceramics, decorative fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, wearable art and wood. The Greater Denton Arts Council announces a call to artists for a juried craft exhibition, February 3 - May 5, 2018 at Patterson-Appleton Arts Center in Denton, Texas. Juror Awards in the amounts of $1,000, $750, $500 and $250. Juror: Perry Price, Executive Director of Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. Texas Mushroom Festival Art Contest

The Texas Mushroom Festival is presenting its Annual Art Contest and Show. The Jury selected art will be shown at the Truman Kimbro Convention Center in Madisonville, Texas during the Texas Mushroom Festival on October 14, 2017. First Place $750 / Second Place $50 / Third Place $50. Entry is open to all levels of expertise, ages 18 and over. Submissions are restricted to 36"x48" and under. Artwork should be suitable for display on an easel, (i.e. Framed, matted or on rigid substrate, but no glass in frames). Mailed artwork must be in a sturdy package suitable for return along with sufficient funds to be packaged and returned.
