The National Portrait Gallery announces a call to artists for the "BP Portrait Award 2010", June 24 - September 19, 2010 in London, United Kingdom. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: Art in the Open (AIO) is Philadelphia’s first festival to put a contemporary twist on the tradition of plein air painting. Over a four day period artists working in all medium and styles will create art outside, and in public view at locations along the Schuylkill River, from the historic Water Works south to Bartram’s Garden, June 9 – 12, 2010. City Hall will host an opening ceremony and exhibition June 2010. A closing exhibition and sale will be June 12, 2010 at the Rosenwald-Wolf Gallery, University of the Arts. Projekt30's April 2010 Exhibition (Posted: 1/29/09) --
Projekt30 is an artist-run arts organization dedicated to promoting emerging artists. In addition to providing professional websites and web hosting for hundreds of fine artists, we have conducted over 90 online juried exhibitions, featured the artwork of thousands of artists, and facilitated the sale of thousands of artworks. Each year, Projekt30 receives roughly one tenth the number of visitors as the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. World's First Projection Art Festival Announces 2010 Call for Entries (Posted: 1/22/10) --
Alys Beach, Florida's premiere beach resort town, announced that it will host the third annual "Digital Graffiti" festival on Saturday, June 12, 2010. Digital Graffiti is the world's first outdoor projection art festival, with artists using the latest technologies to project original video art onto the resort town's iconic white walls and rooftops. We have created a pristine environment in Martignano (Lecce), Italy exclusively for artists and their work needs. Our institution offers 5 large furnished rooms (3 with private bathrooms) with work desks for the artists. The grounds are divided between 2 buildings, one having a large, shared work studio, and the other permitting work freely throughout the house or outside. We assist the artists as much as possible in order for them to concentrate solely on their creating.
