"Au Naturel: The Nude in the 21st Century" (Posted: 8/10/09) -- Clatsop Community College announces a call to artists for "Au Naturel: The Nude in the 21st Century" (www.aunaturelastoria.com), February 25 - April 8, 2010 at the Clatsop Community College Art Center in Astoria, Oregon. $1000 in cash prizes. Old Florida, Fine Art Photographic Exhibit, call for entries (Posted: 9/9/09) -- The Southeast Gallery of Photographic Art located in Vero Beach, Florida announces a call to artists for their themed juried exhibit hanging from January 2 to February 27, 2010. Old Florida is disappearing fast. If it's not termites and hurricanes, development has mowed through old schools, churches, and homes. Hunting Art Prize Call for Entries (Posted: 9/21/09) -- The Hunting Art Prize, which is sponsored by the international oil services company Hunting PLC (Houston, Texas), is celebrating 30 years! It is a Texas-wide competition open to established artists, talented newcomers and promising amateurs. The $50,000 award is the most generous art prize given annually in the United States. Call to Artists: UF 313 Veterinary Education and Clinical Research Center (Posted: 10/6/09) -- The University of Florida in Gainesville, FL is pleased to announce a call to artists for Florida's Art in State Buildings Program. Art budget: $95,000. An honorarium of $1,500 will be awarded to up to three finalists to make a site visit and create a site specific proposal. "The Art of Applied Design" call for entries (Posted: 11/20/09) -- The DHM Digital Gallery invites designers (18 years and above) working in fiber, clay, wood, metal or glass and plastic to participate in The Art of Applied Design, an international juried competition. All submitted works must be functional objects commonly used within interior spaces, such as furnishings (hard or soft), utensils, fixtures, or containers. Objects must have been created between 2007 and 2010, and anything that is purely decorative is not eligible. Evaluation will be based upon uniqueness and creativity, craftsmanship, and quality of the submitted digital image. The online exhibit will include e-mail addresses of accepted artists to facilitate independent sales of work.
