Students will learn the basic steps in creating colorful necklaces, bracelets, and more. Using glass beads, delicate chains, and jewelry pliers, we will craft truly individual treasures! We will also explore other materials for jewelry, such as polymer clay. This is a 5-week, 1.5 hour after-school class held on Tuesdays.

Learn to etch sterling silver with nitric acid for a great surface design. In this workshop we will be creating a set of etched earrings using vinyl as a resist to get crisp detail. The etched forms can be gently dapped for a more dynamic piece or left flat. Materials List: Please bring a 2" x 1" piece of 20 or 22ga sterling silver sheet to etch. Vinyl and stainless steel earring wire will be provided.

Join local mosaics artist Ryan McGivern for this exciting Half-Day workshop perfect for students of any level! Students will make their very own mosaic necklace pendant with mixed media, glass and found objects. Ryan will show students how to design & execute the creation of their own personal one-of-a-kind mosaic pendant! The instructor will grout the works and have them ready for pick up the following Friday. All your materials for this class are included in the cost, just bring yourself! We recommend wearing long pants, sleeves and close toed shoes to this class.
