Graphic Era Juried Exhibition

The Delaplaine Arts Center in Frederick, MD announces a call to artists for Graphic Era, a celebration of the graphic arts by digital design professionals and artists from around the U.S. Exhibition dates: April 4-26, 2020. Awards: Grand Prize $500; Gold $250; Silver $150; Bronze $100. Juror: Kat Irannejad, Co-Founder and Executive Illustration Agent at Snyder New York. This exhibition will feature a selection of artists who are using illustration to engage larger audiences via social, digital and print media. 2021/2022 El Paseo Sculpture Exhibition

The City of Palm Desert announces a call to artists for the 2021/2022 El Paseo Sculpture Exhibition. $5,000 Honorarium. The exhibition space consists of eighteen lighted concrete pads located in the median along a one and one half mile stretch of prime retail. All sculptures must fit on one of the existing concrete pads (sizes listed in prospectus). Sculptures should be no less than 8' and no more than 10' in height on their own inclusive of a base, with the exception of one sculpture to fit a different size pad which should be a maximum of 5' tall. There are a few pads that can accommodate sculptures up to 13'. Sculptures should be suitable for viewing from all angles. Artworks may be sold by the artist but must remain onsite during the exhibition. Participant is responsible for delivery and pick-up of artwork on scheduled date. 52nd annual Sun Valley Arts & Crafts Festival

Artists are invited to apply for the 52nd annual Sun Valley Arts & Crafts Festival, held August 7-9, 2020 at Atkinson Park, in the beautiful mountain town of Ketchum / Sun Valley, Idaho. The festival contains only 140 booths, some of which are made into doubles, and features free parking, volunteer booth sitters, food trucks and a picnic area, artist demonstrations, a kids' activity tent and live music. Watercolor USA 2020

The Springfield Art Museum in Springfield, MO announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, June 6 - August 16, 2020. Juror: Misa Jeffereis, Assistant Curator at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis. Artists from all 50 states and U.S. territories, ages 18 and up, who are using watermedia as critical components of their work are eligible to apply. Artists whose work pushes the boundaries of traditional aqueous media are encouraged to enter. High realism, abstraction, traditional transparent watercolor, and innovative uses of the medium are all welcomed as the exhibit continues to expand and adjust with contemporary artistic practice, including the use of nontraditional supports and mounts. The Museum routinely purchases work from the "Watercolor USA" exhibition to expand its robust collection of contemporary American watermedia. Approximately $20,000 in cash prizes and possible Museum purchase awards are available. Top awards include the $3,000 Kenneth M. Shuck Memorial Award, the $2,000 Greg G. The PASEO is seeking installations, projection, and/or performance art that can be installed/shown/projected/performed outdoors for this two-day outdoor art festival located in the Taos Downtown Historic District. Stipends ranging from $250 - $2,500 (with 2-3 projects funded at $5,000-$10,000). Art must be designed for outdoor and nighttime viewing. Center for Documentary Studies at Duke - Essay Prize in Photography

The CDS Documentary Essay Prize honors the best in short-form documentary photography. The winner of the competition receives $3,000 and features in Center for Documentary Studies' digital publications. The winner's work is also placed in the Archive of Documentary Arts at the Rubenstein Library, Duke University. Submit 15 photographs in digital format (jpeg/jpg). Ivyside Juried Exhibition 2020/2021

Up to four artists are awarded annually with a solo gallery exhibition in one of two gallery spaces (each approximately 13' x 25') at the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts at Penn State Altoona. Open to all visual artists in any media. Entries must have been completed within the last two years. Artists will be selected from on-line submissions by a faculty committee. Artists creating original works of art in any media are encouraged to apply. If awarded, artwork must be suitable for installation and must not exceed 84" in any firm dimension. Two-dimensional works must not weigh more than 60 lbs., including frame and must be ready to hang with the appropriate attached hardware. Three-dimensional works weighing over 80 lbs must have a base that can be rolled or composed of elements that can be easily moved. Digital and non-traditional media will be considered. 14th Annual Master Pieces: An International MFA/MA Exhibit

The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, invites current graduate students and MFA/MA degree recipients since January 2019 to submit works in any media (including non-traditional approaches), any style, and any genre (fine art, illustration, design, conceptual, realism, etc.). This 14th installment of the Master Pieces project will continue to reveal the intensity and professionalism of students working towards their terminal academic degree in the field of art or design. Season 17 Solo Proposals (2020/2021)

The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, invites visual artists to submit solo proposals of various types and accepts these on an ongoing basis starting usually in late winter, reviewing them starting in early June in consideration for the upcoming exhibit season. Anyone can submit a proposal. Artists should bear in mind the need for a consistent and very strong body of work when submitting. Open to all traditional and non-traditional genre and media. Types of proposals include solo exhibits, two person exhibits (we strongly recommend artists submit individual solo proposals and request consideration of the two-person show), and group shows (solo proposals preferred, but we have considered and accepted group proposals in the past). A separate solo/proposal process will be offered for both photo and ceramic-specific works, with applications being accepted starting in early 2020. $50 non-refundable submission fee.
