May PleinAir Salon Art Competition

PleinAir Magazine announces a call to artists for the PleinAir Salon Art Competition, a monthly online competition consisting of 19 categories. Over $33,000 awarded each year. The Bennett Prize

The Bennett Prize seeks to propel the careers of women figurative realist painters who have not yet realized full professional recognition, empowering new artists and those who have painted for many years. The Prize awards $50,000 to a woman artist to create her own solo exhibition of figurative realist paintings, which will travel the country. For the first time, a runner up award of $10,000 will be given to one additional finalist. Four-person jury: Julie Bell (artist), Zoey Frank (artist), Joseph Rosa (Frye Art Museum), & Steven Bennett (Prize co-founder).
