14th Annual Small Works Show

440 Gallery in Brooklyn, NY announces a call to artists for an art exhibition juried by Nicole Kaack, November 29 - December 28, 2018. Awards: Juror's Choice, 440 Choice, People's Choice. Open to artists who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry and who have a US shipping address. Work must be no more than 12 inches in any direction including the framing or mounting, or video monitors. The artwork may represent any subject matter. All media - including oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, drawings, sculpture in any medium, collage, printmaking, photography and digital media - will be considered. Accepted work must be suitably framed, wired and ready for hanging. Works on paper must be framed under plexiglass or glass. Maximum weight of sculpture: 30 pounds. Tucson JCC - Annual Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition

In 2009, the Tucson Jewish Community Center in Tucson, Arizona established a Sculpture Garden on its campus with a four-fold purpose in mind: to craft a public space that celebrates the appreciation of sculpture; to create an atmosphere of tranquility; to promote educational opportunities; and to enhance community fellowship. The JCC's garden currently contains over 40 sculptures by local, national, and international sculptors, ranging from a few feet tall to over 30 feet in height. All materials should be appropriate for an outdoor, desert environment. Sculptures must be for sale (65% commission to the artist, 35% to the Tucson JCC). Artists may submit up to three entries, although only one may be chosen for the exhibition (March 24, 2019 - March 1, 2020). Each selected entry will receive a $500 honorarium. There is no entry fee. Signs of the Times

Arlington Artists Alliance announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, January 5 - 31, 2019 at Gallery Clarendon in Arlington, Virginia. Up to $500 in awards. Juror: Beverly Ryan. Artists working in all media are called to submit works that interpret and express signs of the times - real or imagined, literal or figurative, positive or negative; art that addresses, questions, protests, or celebrates our changing world. Anu 12 Artist Competition

The AnuCompany is looking to feature 12 artists for the coming year (one artist or art collective group per month) at the Anu Galleria in South Salt Lake, UT. $2,400 in awards ($200 cash prize per selected artist). For 2019 we are looking for artists that have an urban style, with the colors and shapes to match. We are looking for 2d and smaller 3d artwork to fit in the gallery section of the shop. The Heart of Christmas

Fine Arts In the Pines announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition. All judging will be online. For those who wish to take part in the on-ground exhibit, we request that your paintings are delivered December 4th-6th to Fine Arts School in the Pines, located at 492 Main Street, Placerville CA, 95667. Awards: Adults $550, Teens $150, Children $50. Juror: Doug Pearson, alternate juror in case of emergency. This is a national competition. Two dimensional art works depicting flora, fauna, structures, city scenes, landscape and religious history are acceptable and of course, Santa, his Elves, and all other imagery depicting Christmas. 10th Annual International Drawing Discourse Exhibition

As part of an ongoing commitment to promote drawing practices in the visual arts, the University of North Carolina Asheville (UNC Asheville) invites artists to submit entries to a juried international exhibition of contemporary drawing. $2,000 in awards. Juror: Claire Gilman. UNC Asheville seeks to examine drawing as it is practiced and defined by today's artists. Such an exhibition will demonstrate the continued significance of drawing through both conventional and innovative methods. Accepted work will be exhibited (with thanks while the UNC Asheville Tucker Cooke Gallery is under renovation) in the Holden Gallery on the campus of Warren Wilson College January 18 - February 22, 2019. Photographic call for entry "diptych"

A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, TX seeks entries for a juried photography exhibition, January 18 to March 10, 2019. Thirty to thirty five images will be selected for exhibition. A Blurb full color catalogue of the exhibit with all the accepted entries will be available for purchase. The 7th Annual Infected by Art Imaginative Realism Art Competition

16th Annual Pinecrest Gardens Fine Arts Festival

Pinecrest Gardens in Pinecrest, FL invites artists to apply for their annual fine arts festival, held January 26 and 27, 2019. Up to $4,000 in awards. All work must be original and executed by the accepted artists. Exhibitors must attend their work in person for the duration of the show. Exhibitor's employees may not substitute for the exhibitor, except during breaks. Only work representative of that submitted and accepted may be exhibited. Pinecrest Gardens reserves the right to request removal of any work that differs from that as well as the removal of any inappropriate work or display that does not fit within a family oriented environment. All reproductions must be clearly labeled as "reproductions". All tents must be in good condition to ensure the quality of the event. We highly recommend walls to protect and secure your exhibit overnight. 14th International Drawing Annual

Manifest seeks submissions for the 14th International Drawing Annual (INDA), which includes $2,000 in cash awards with a $1200 First Prize! Every three years the annual award winning INDA collection of recent contemporary drawings is meant to provide a resource to the world to help investigate the question of "what is exceptional drawing?" Submissions are expected to vary, including a range of drawing types, from the most academic to the most experimental, but all with some relevance to the artists' honest understanding of the practice of "drawing." As this is a book project, works that are not otherwise available (i.e. physically) may still be submitted for consideration. Passion to Perform

Passion to Perform, an initiative of Yamana Gold, celebrates the interconnection between performance and passion, and aims to award winning entrants with meaningful compensation that can positively impact each artist's practice and encourage them to pursue their passion. $6,000 for first prize, $2,500 for second prize and $1,500 for third prize. In addition, a fund has been established to acquire artworks from the shortlist of finalists, which will then become part of the permanent collection of Yamana Gold. Artists are welcome to submit paintings, drawings, sculptures and photography. The competition is open to any person practicing art, and each artist can submit up to 2 entries. The panel of judges will initially review entries made through the online system. Following this, approximately 35 artists will be short listed. Only works that are short listed from the initial digital submission will be reviewed for final judging. Buffalo Creek Art Center artist residency

Buffalo Creek Art Center in Gardnerville, NV is a new summer artist residency for three-dimensional artists in metal, wood, ceramic and multimedia with an emphasis on traditional figurative and abstract works that encompass aesthetics and craftsmanship. Artist ages 18 and older may apply as well as international artists as long as they speak English. The residency starts June 1 and ends October 30. Artist can choose between a four, six or eight-week stay. Artists will be given free room and workspace and use of all the equipment. This unique thirty-four acre property includes a vineyard, fruit orchards, 8 ponds, a miniature train station and hiking trails. St. Joseph Sculpture Walk Call for Sculptors

St. Joseph Sculpture Walk (Saint Joseph, Missouri) is open to professional and amateur sculptors. Selected sculptures/sculptors will receive a $500 honorarium and all sculptures selected will be competing for up to $13,000 in cash prize awards. Artists must own the rights to the artwork and the sculpture must be available for the duration of the one-year contract (June 2019-May 2020). All submissions must be professionally constructed of durable materials that will withstand the elements. All durable outdoor media are encouraged. Must be 18 years old or older. Entry requires submission of a brief biography, concise CV/resume, artist's statement/ description of the sculpture submitted, and directions for installation and removal. 2019 Baltimore Fine Craft Show

Artists are invited to apply for the Baltimore Fine Craft Show, Aug. 29 - Sept. 1, 2019 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Jurors: Michael Monroe, Lloyd Herman and Carol Sauvion. All work submitted must be original creations. The Craft Show is committed to presenting the most thoughtful, original, and skilled American & International craft and design objects. Eligible media: Basketry, ceramics, decorative fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, wearable art, and wood. The artist should apply in the category that best describes his/her medium. For instance, a jewelry artist using metal should not apply in the metal category. Other media not listed above may be included in mixed media when it is combined with one of the Show's established media. If applying under mixed media, please explain in artist statement why mixed media is appropriate. Unacceptable media categories: Objects created by 3D printing technology, paintings, prints, graphics, photography, mass-produced work, soap, or objects made from commercial kits.
