Brighton Traffic Box Murals

The City of Brighton, CO invites artists to embark on an exciting endeavor - transforming traffic signal boxes into captivating public art installations to be displayed across the community for 2-3 years. The subcommittee will select up to 15 pieces of art for public voting. Six pieces of artwork will be selected. Each artist or artist team will receive a $500 honorarium. All artists must be based in Colorado. All mediums welcome (watercolor, photography, multi-media, acrylic, etc.). Individual artists as well as artist teams are eligible. Submissions will be accepted for young artists (17 and younger) and adult artists (18 and older). At least one traffic box will be awarded to the youth category. The City will handle the printing and installation of all Traffic Box Murals. Selected artists need only submit their final digital file, and the City will take it from there! No application fee.
