Art at the Center - Outdoor Sculpture Call

The Prescott Valley Arts & Culture Commission announces a call to artists. The Town of Prescott Valley, AZ is seeking sculptors to be part of its very successful outdoor public art project - Art at the Center. 27th Annual Colored Pencil Society of America International Exhibition

The Colored Pencil Society of America seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, July 31 - September 13, 2019 at the City of Brea Art Gallery in Brea, CA. $5,000 Best of Show and CIPPY Award, Over $10,000 in other awards. Juror: Jean Stern. Open to all artists age 18 and over. Media must be 100% colored pencil on a manufacturer-prepared surface (scratchboard not allowed). Use of any other additional media (watercolor, acrylic, oil, ink, etc.) or artist-prepared surface disqualifies entry. See acceptable colored pencil products. Acceptable additions to colored pencil: solvents (e.g., turpentine, odorless mineral spirits) and graphite pencil used under/between colored pencil layers. Artwork must be two-dimensional. Pence Gallery Emerging Artist Award

The Pence Gallery in Davis, CA announces that its Emerging Artist Award Call to Artists is now open for 2019 via www.callforentry.org. This award supports the creation of new work by emerging artists in California and the opportunity to share that work through an exhibit. Artists must use the award to further their work in a significant direction. Artists may work in any medium. 'Emerging' is defined as an artist who is early in their art career, with solid studies in art, and exhibit experience in group shows, but not an extensive solo exhibit history. This award is under-written by donors James R. and Suzette M. Smith, and offers an award of $3000 and a solo exhibit at the Pence in 2020. "The Real Wild West" - paintings that show how the American Frontier really looked like in the eighteen hundreds. 2019 Sweet Pea Festival

Artists are invited to apply for the Sweet Pea Festival, held August 2-4, 2019 at Lindley Park in Bozeman, Montana. Only handcrafted original work by the selling artist is acceptable. Kits or commercially produced work will not be allowed. The jurying will be divided into media categories. The jury will select a proportional mixture of the categories. All artists wishing to apply for booth space are required to apply online and submit four digital photos. These images should display the type and quality of recent work that will be sold at the Festival. Only one artist in one medium will be allowed per booth. This does not exclude an additional medium which is an integral part of the primary medium such as wood frames on photographs or buckles on belts. A team of two people producing items jointly in one medium may apply as a single exhibitor if they have been working together on a regular basis. Artist must be at their booth during the Festival. Arm Candy - The Art of Wearable Food

ACCI Gallery in Berkeley, California is pleased to accept submissions of food-based jewelry, couture, and other forms of edible bodily adornment for "Arm Candy" an exhibition of edible ornamentation, June 25 to July 16, 2019. There is a great similarity in discussing food and art as the adjectives used to describe them are easily interchangeable: heavenly, enticing, disgusting, beautiful, tender, dazzling, dull, fragile, weak, strong, elegant, harsh, and delicious. The language of one is the language of the other. This exhibit seeks to challenge artists to work outside their norm or comfort zone in the creation of jewelry, couture, or bodily adornment that utilizes actual food. Representations of food will not be considered. Work must have been conceived with or include actual foodstuffs. The Creede Arts Council seeks artists for the Creede Sculpture Show, held July 25-28, 2019 at Basham Park in Creede, CO. Total of $1600 for winning sculptures. 46th Annual Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition

Center for the Arts Evergreen seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, September 13 - October 26, 2019 in Evergreen, Colorado. In 2018, awards totaled over $10,000 in cash and merchandise. Fish and Wildlife Conservation Art Contest and Show

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife would like to invite artists to participate in our annual Fish and Wildlife Conservation Art Contest. The winning artists will receive a $2,000 award, and the winning artwork will be featured on collector's stamps, art prints, and other merchandise (e.g., wine label). The department will organize an art show in November where all entries will be viewed by the public. Artist name and contact information will be displayed for all artists that are interested. All ages and skill levels welcome, and there is no entry fee. All entries, except the winning artwork, will be mailed back to the artist. The Wildlife Habitat Conservation Stamp Program supports conservation of priority fish and wildlife species of concern in Oregon.
