Call for Entry: Annual Regional Juried Exhibition 2019

The Guild of Boston Artists announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, August 31 - September 28, 2019 in Boston, MA. First Place $500; Second Place $250; Third Place $150. Jurors: William Bartlett, Michelle Jung, and Sergio Roffo. Work must be representational, with a strong academic background. Accepted media are oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pastel, graphite, charcoal, pen and ink, and pencil. Prints, including giclees, are not eligible. Using a print as an underpainting is also prohibited. The Guild has a preference for work done from life rather than photographs. Although works done from photography are not excluded, preference is given to work done from life, especially when the jurors are selecting the awards. $50 entry fee. Deadline: July 25, 2019. Arts Club of Washington's 2020 - 2021 Call for Entries

DC's oldest Arts nonprofit continues its support for the visual arts with the Arts Club of Washington's 2020 -20201 Call for Entries. Exhibitions are scheduled monthly from September 2020 through May 2021. These exhibitions provide opportunities for artists to display their works and allow the Arts Club to present a variety of visual arts to gallery visitors. We are currently accepting applications for both single artist exhibitions as well as group shows. Open to all active, living artists. Two-dimensional works in all media, styles, and techniques are accepted. A limited number of small-scale sculptures that can be displayed on a mantle may be accepted as part of the body of works exhibited. The Schweinfurth Art Center in Auburn, NY announces a call to artists for an international juried quilt exhibition, October 26, 2019 - January 5, 2020. $1,000 for Best of Show. Jurors: Petra Fallaux and Claire Benn. Quilts must have been completed in 2017, 2018 or 2019; must measure a minimum of 900 square inches total (height x width=square inches). The vertical dimensions of any single piece may not exceed 108 inches. Quilts previously exhibited at the Schweinfurth Art Center are not eligible. Call for artists- Leonardo: When the Arts reach the Sky

Artists are invited to submit entries for two art exhibitions celebrating the genius of the Renaissance. The exhibitions will take place September 23, 2019 - January 23, 2020 at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and October 3, 2019 - January 30, 2020 at the National Italian American Gallery (NIAG) at the Italian Cultural Center of Maryland. Bare Men: The Group Show

Artists are invited to submit photography of the male nude ranging from the classical to the raw & erotic for an exhibit in New York, NY. Curated and presented by Abigail Ekue. Bare Men: The Group Show will showcase art which celebrates all expressions of the male nude - the sensuality, strength, vulnerability and sexuality. All genres of photography featuring the male nude will be considered -- fine art, conceptual, fashion or glamour, erotic, outdoor/nature or urban, self-portraits, dance et al. Lacawac Artists' Residencies 2019

Lacawac Sanctuary and Field Station is a nature preserve, biological field station, and environmental education center located near Lake Ariel, PA in the Pocono Mountains. Each year professional or aspiring artists are selected to spend time at Lacawac Sanctuary for either one or two weeks. During the residencies, artists are free to produce their artwork using the inspiration of the beauty that is Lacawac. Housing and limited studio space is provided. Artists are provided: a comfortable, rustic room in the Historic Watres Lodge or the Ice House; access to 545 acres which includes a glacial lake, 2 ponds, shore access to Lake Wallenpaupack, ledges natural area, and forests; interaction with scientists conducting research at Lacawac (May thru early August). $10 application fee.
