2021 New England Regional Juried Exhibition

The Guild of Boston Artists in Boston, MA announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, August 28 - September 25, 2021. Awards and Cash Prizes. Jurors: Harley Bartlett, Donald Jurney, Robin Frisella. The New England Regional Juried Exhibition features the best of representational painting, drawing, and sculpture by regional artists who work in the realist tradition. North East Watercolor Society International Exhibition

The North East Watercolor Society announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, October 10-24 at Kent Art Association Gallery in Kent, CT and 6 months online. Approx $10,000 in cash and merchandise. Juror: Sarah Yeoman, AWS. Watercolors must have been executed within the last 3 years and not previously exhibited at NEWS Internationals. Maximum dimension is 44 inches in any direction. Paintings must be properly framed and securely wired for hanging. No collage or pastels. All shipped entries must be glazed with acrylic such as Plexi-glas (No glass). Hand delivered work may use glass in frames at artist's risk of breakage. Glen Echo Park Labor Day Art Show

Glen Echo Park in Glen Echo, MD invites artists to submit entries for the 50th Annual Labor Day Art Show, a Glen Echo Park tradition where artists, students, teachers, and art enthusiasts come together each year to exhibit the best of their recent work. The show will run September 4-6 from 12pm-6pm, with an opening reception on September 3 from 7:30-9pm. Cash prizes of $250 each will be awarded for top works in the 2D and 3D categories. The show includes a wide range of media, including sculpture, paintings, works on paper, ceramics, fiber arts, jewelry, photography, and furniture. All entries must be submitted online in one of the following categories: 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, jewelry, and sleeved prints. Corporate Connections 2021

Maryland Federation of Art's Corporate Connections program launches an opportunity for artists to connect with professional developers, designers, and more at this one-day gala event at the MGM Casino in National Harbor, Maryland. Jurors will select fifty pieces, one per individual artist, to be featured in a promotional catalog and also displayed on MFA's online Curve Gallery from Sept 15 - Oct 31, 2021. Twenty of the previous fifty artists will be invited to attend the Corporate Connections event to show their work to potential clients. Faces Exhibition

The award-winning Art Center in Dover, New Hampshire announces a call for entry to a juried art competition and exhibition, September 1 - October 31, 2021. Blue Ribbon Award of $100. Craft Forms 2021, 26th International Juried Exhibition of Contemporary Fine Craft

Selected works will be on display in the Davenport Gallery of Wayne Art Center in Wayne, PA, December 3, 2021 - January 29, 2022. This year's juror, Carol Sauvion, will present $10,000 in prize awards. Call for Artwork for Portraits Project

The Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, DC (GMCW) is seeking artwork to be used as part of the Portraits project to be premiered in June 2024. Compensation to the artist is $2,500 per piece. Portraits will represent through visual art, music, and dance, the spectrum of sexual, gender, racial, ethnic, and cultural identities. Paintings, drawings, and photographs are welcome. The artworks may be a portrait, or a scene depicting an aspect of the human experience, including identity expression and historical references specific to the LGBTQ+ community. Selected artworks will be used as projections as part of a live performance, brought to life aurally by music, and visually by GMCW's 17th Street Dance ensemble. Music will be commissioned by composers inspired by the artworks selected for the project. Artists may submit works from their existing portfolio, or the artist may submit a sample or sketch of a proposed work. If the sample/sketch is selected for the project, the completed work will then be due September 1, 2022. Multiple works or sketches may be submitted. No entry fee. Deadline: November 1, 2021.
