34th Biennial Creative Crafts Council Exhibition of Fine Craft

The Creative Crafts Council announces a call to craft artists for the 34th Biennial Exhibition of Fine Craft, held May 9 - July 29, 2023 at The Mansion at Strathmore in Rockville, MD. $300 for Best in Show, $200 for 1st place, $100 for 2nd place in different media categories. Jurors: April Wood, Jaimianne Jacobin, Lynda Smith-Bugge. Eligible media: ceramics, enamel, fiber, glass, metal, mixed media, wood, book arts and more. All artists living, working and/or attending college in Virginia, Maryland, or DC or who are members of sponsoring guilds may apply. Art must be for sale. Artists may submit as many as 4 pieces total; the media of the 4 pieces may vary. All work must have been produced after January 1, 2019 and not previously exhibited at a Creative Crafts Council Exhibition. Allegany National Photography Show

The Allegany Arts Council seeks entries for a juried photography exhibition, April 1-22, 2023 at the Saville and Schwab Galleries, Allegany Arts Council in Cumberland, Maryland. $6,500 in awards. Juror: Todd Tubutis, Director and Curator of the Art Museum at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. Awards to be presented in three categories of fine art photography: color, monochrome, and photography as sculpture. The Portrait Society of America invites artists to enter the 25th annual "The International" portrait competition, showcasing the finest in portraiture and figurative art today. The International is the world's premier portrait competition and is open to all artists. A variety of mediums is welcomed and encouraged. The top twenty finalists are required to exhibit their selected original artwork and be present at the prestigious The Art of the Portrait conference in Washington, DC, May 11-14, 2023 for final judging and awards. Finalists will be announced March 14, 2023, and on Saturday, May 13, 2023, over $140,000 in cash and awards will be presented, with a $50,000 cash Grand Prize. $50 entry fee. The Wayne Art Center seeks artists for the 15th Annual Wayne Art Center Plein Air Festival which kicks off on May 7, 2023 with the arrival of 32 juried, nationally recognized and emerging artists who have come to Wayne, Pennsylvania to capture the cool atmosphere and ephemeral, lush greens of spring in the Delaware Valley and compete for $20,000 in cash awards. Call For Artists: 2024 / 2025 Gallery Seasons at 3S Artspace

3S Artspace in Portsmouth, NH invites submissions from contemporary artists for exhibitions in our main gallery in the upcoming 2024/2025 seasons. Stipends of $1,000 will be offered for solo shows. We welcome work in all mediums and media, including video and installation art. Creative Climate Award 2023

The Human Impacts Institute is proud to announce our open call for the 2023 Creative Climate Awards, with the theme of Inspiring a Climate Renaissance. US$300 stipend for all participating artists who are selected. We urge your submission to address the following prompt: How does your work inspire innovation, collaboration and action for climate justice? Each summer the exhibition brings together thousands of original artworks, made and donated by celebrities, international & local artists, designers, youth and you.
