Rest in Pieces seeks to create a genuinely eerie atmosphere, presenting 2D and 3D works of art that reveal the mysterious, macabre, and magical. Artists are invited to explore supernatural themes, such as apparitions, haunted sites, and even death, through a wide range of styles, from gothic to surreal. Subject matter can be disturbing and scary as well as beautiful and thought-provoking. Artists, 18 and over, in the continental U.S., may submit a maximum of 3 original works of art created in any media (except film, video, electronic, or AI) within the last 3 years, and not previously exhibited at the Art House. Recollection

The Midwest Center for Photography in Wichita, Kansas seeks entries for an international juried photography exhibition, September 6-24, 2024. MWCP seeks photographs that elicit or display the binary of remembering and recording as a way to document recalled memories. Through the experience of the passage of time we look back and recollect, at times fondly with contentment and desire or otherwise despondent longing. In recollecting, nostalgia is often triggered by something reminding us of a happier time, a feeling of idealized pleasure and also slight pensiveness when we think about the way things used to be. Illiart 2024

The Bennett Prize 4.0 Call for Entries Now Open

Steven Alan Bennett and Dr. Elaine Melotti Schmidt, founders of The Bennett Collection, are pleased to announce a call for entries for The Bennett Prize, a biennial award that seeks to propel the careers of women figurative realist painters who have not yet realized full professional recognition, empowering new artists and those who have painted for many years.
