Artists are invited to apply for the East Lansing Art Festival, held May 21 & 22, 2022 in Downtown East Lansing, MI. ~ $6000 in artist awards. The ELAF maintains high standards of quality in fine art/fine crafts. Alchemy6

The Enamelist Society seeks entries for Alchemy6, a juried enamel exhibition. Alchemy6 is the 18th Biennial International Juried Enamel Exhibition and 14th International Juried Student Enamel Exhibition and will be installed at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts during The Enamelist Society's Biennial Conference in August 2022. This exhibition will travel to other venues, ending at the Ohio Craft Museum through April 2023. Works are required to remain a part of the exhibition until its conclusion. The Exhibitions highlight the best in contemporary enamels produced in the last 2 years, showcasing the work of enamelists that demonstrate aesthetic and technical expertise. Students must be enrolled in accredited degree programs throughout the world. Jan Smith, Ana Lopez, and Amy Roper Lyons are the jurors for this exhibition. Monetary awards will be given to the overall winner, first and second place in each category (jewelry, sculpture/vessel, and wall work), and student winners. University of Michigan Roman J. Witt Artist Residency Opportunity

The University of Michigan seeks artists for the Roman J. Witt Artist Residency at the Michigan Stamps School of Art and Design in Ann Arbor, MI. Witt Residents receive an honorarium of $20,000 for up to twelve weeks in residence served over an academic year. In addition to the honorarium, residents will be provided with housing, studio space, and up to $5,000 funding support for project materials. Open to both established and emerging artists/designers. The Witt residency provides students an alternative learning opportunity to engage with practicing artists who can make use of resources across campus, therefore the ideal candidate must value collaboration, have good social and communication skills and be interested in generating creative partnerships across disciplines. Watercolor USA 2022 at the Springfield Art Museum

The City of Springfield/Springfield Art Museum (Springfield, MO) announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, June 4 - August 28, 2022. Awards: $3,000; $2,000; $1,500; $1,000; Possible Museum Purchase Awards; Additional $300 prizes; Artist materials. Juror: Kevin Umaña, co-founder of The Ekru Project. Open to artists, 18 years of age or older, currently living in the USA or its possessions/territories. All artwork must be original, executed after January 1, 2021, and not previously shown at the Springfield Art Museum. Watercolor media must be on watercolor paper substrate and framed using an acrylic covering. No glass allowed unless work is hand-delivered. Artwork must utilize water-soluble paint as the primary medium used in a traditional watercolor-like manner. The Museum is particularly interested in artists who utilize watermedia in intriguing ways, both in terms of the content of the imagery, as well as the process in which it was made. 29th Annual Red River Watercolor Society National Juried Watermedia Exhibit

The Red River Watercolor Society announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, June 16 - August 20, 2022 at the Plains Art Museum in Fargo, ND. $5,000+ in awards and merchandise. Juror: Michael Holter NWS, OPS, SWS, SWA. Open to all artists 18-years of age and older, working in two-dimensional water media on a single piece of watercolor paper or yupo. Original work only. Acceptable materials: water-soluble media only, to include transparent or opaque watercolor, varnished watercolor, gouache, casein, egg tempera, water based ink, water soluble graphite, and acrylic. All entries must be on a single piece of watercolor paper, or Yupo. Entries must be able to be matted and framed.
