Reflections of Gratitude

The Berkeley Arts Council invites entries for a juried art exhibition, February 23 - April 2, 2022 at Berkeley Art Works in Martinsburg, WV. Best of Show, Merit Award and Honorable Mention. Open to all visual artists throughout the continental United States, over the age of 18, working in any fine art or fine craft medium or technique, in 2- or 3-dimensions, representational, abstract, or non-representational. The goal of this exhibit is to honor women whose achievements and contributions have enriched our lives and bettered our world. They are our role models, influencers, sources of strength, beacons of hope. They may be artists, educators, preachers, healers, engineers, scientists; they are mothers, sisters, grandmothers, friends; they exist in many roles and vocations, in public and private life. 8th Annual Edna Curry/John Bower Exhibition

Bower Center for the Arts in Bedford, VA seeks entries for a juried exhibition, February 1 - March 12, 2022. Adult Division - Best in Show: $650 & solo exhibit, 2nd: $350, 3rd: $200, 3 Awards of Merit: $75 each, 3 Recognitions for Body of Work. See prospectus for Youth Awards. Artists aged 13-17 may enter up to 2 artworks. Artists aged 18 and over may enter up to 3. All entries must be original works (no reproductions) created within the past three years and not been in a previous juried or judged exhibit at Bower Center. 2-D artwork must be secured in sturdy frames or gallery-wrap, and wired for hanging (no saw-tooth hangers or wired loops in cardboard). Max size for 2-D is 60" in either direction. There is limited space for free-standing sculpture that is broad-based and of varying heights, contact Bower Center to discuss your entry. Art requiring pedestal bases is limited to 15"-20" at the base and 3' - 4' in height. Note on the entry form if a pedestal is required. 24th San Angelo National Ceramic Competition

The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts in San Angelo, TX announces a call to artists for the 24th San Angelo National Ceramic Competition, held April 8 - June 26, 2022. Six cash prizes will be awarded, totaling $6,000. Juror: James Watkins. Accepting ceramic art. The competition is open to all artists 18 or older, who are residents of the United States, Canada, or Mexico. All work, both functional and sculptural, must have been completed within the last two years. Works previously accepted into this competition are ineligible. Material: d'Art's Third Juried National Fiber Arts Exhibition

The d'Art Center in Norfolk, Virginia seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, February 19 - March 13, 2022. $1,050 in Awards. Material is an exhibition of original fiber artworks from across the country. This exhibition will highlight the quality and variety of fiber art, and is open to functional, non-functional, 2D, 3D, fine art, and fine craft in fiber. Mixed media works are welcome as long as fiber is a major component. This exhibition will feature work in a variety of styles. Work may be no longer than 60" in its longest dimension and weigh no more than 50 pounds. Call to Artists for Rowlett Fire Station

The Rowlett Arts and Humanities Commission (Rowlett, TX) seeks to commission an original, exterior, site-specific art piece. The art must be imaginative, durable, and require minimal maintenance. It should reflect the scale of the building and not overpower it, complementing the natural architecture and open spaces of the area. The design should be representational in nature. Artists should consider lighting (energy-efficient required), base construction, and oversight of the installation. The budget for this project is not to exceed $48,000, including artist's fee, travel during fabrication and installation, engineering certification, materials, fabrication, transportation, documentation, insurance, applicable permit fees, and lighting. Crozet Spring Arts and Crafts Festival

Artists are invited to apply for the Crozet Spring Arts and Crafts Festival, May 7-8, 2022 at Crozet Park in Crozet, VA. Alchemy6

The Enamelist Society seeks entries for Alchemy6, a juried enamel exhibition. Alchemy6 is the 18th Biennial International Juried Enamel Exhibition and 14th International Juried Student Enamel Exhibition and will be installed at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts during The Enamelist Society's Biennial Conference in August 2022. This exhibition will travel to other venues, ending at the Ohio Craft Museum through April 2023. Works are required to remain a part of the exhibition until its conclusion. The Exhibitions highlight the best in contemporary enamels produced in the last 2 years, showcasing the work of enamelists that demonstrate aesthetic and technical expertise. Students must be enrolled in accredited degree programs throughout the world. Jan Smith, Ana Lopez, and Amy Roper Lyons are the jurors for this exhibition. Monetary awards will be given to the overall winner, first and second place in each category (jewelry, sculpture/vessel, and wall work), and student winners. The 24th Annual International Portrait Competition

The Portrait Society of America is hosting our 24th annual International Portrait Competition, a competition dedicated to showcasing the finest in portraiture and figurative art. The selected finalists will be invited to exhibit their selected artwork at the prestigious The Art of the Portrait Conference in Atlanta, GA, April 21-24, 2022. The Grand Prize winner will receive a cash award of $25,00. Over $115,000 combined in cash and prizes will be presented at the awards banquet on April 23, 2022 with special recognition in categories of Painting, Drawing and Sculpture. The Blooming Arts Festival is Linden's annual signature event and one of the region's leading outdoor festivals.
