Call for Artists | 30th Annual Juried Competition

The Arts Council of York County announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, June 14 - July 28, 2019 at the Center for the Arts, Dalton Gallery in Rock Hill, SC. Awards: $1000, $500, $200, $100. Juror: Amy Herman. Artists, aged 18 and older, are eligible to enter. Only original work, created in the last two (2) years, and not shown previously at the Center for the Arts, Dalton Gallery will be accepted. All forms of media are eligible. All work must be presented in a professional manner. Accepted work must be exhibition-ready to be included in the show. 3D work must sit solidly on a flat surface or be properly mounted for hanging. Framed pieces must be securely wired; glazed plexiglass is preferred; size is restricted to 72 inches in any direction, including the frame. Sheets: A National Exhibition of Paper Arts

The d'Art Center in Norfolk, VA announces a call to artists for an upcoming exhibition, June 15 - July 13, 2019. Awards for 1st: $500, 2nd: $300, 3rd: $150. Juror: Clay McGlamory. Sheets is a national juried exhibition that features paper arts. This exhibition is open to all 2D, 3D, fine art, and fine paper crafts that may also incorporate any additional medium, as long as the finished piece is composed of at least 60% in paper elements (this may include, but is not limited to book arts, collage, sculpture, assemblage, and 2D mixed media). Montgomery County, TN, through the Public Art Ad Hoc Committee, seeks to commission an artist to design, construct, and install (or provide instructions for installation including oversight of the installation) an outdoor sculpture acknowledging our relationship with the men and women of Fort Campbell, KY, and honoring their service to the country. The Northern Virginia Handcrafters Guild announces a call to artists for the McLean Holiday Craft Show to be held in McLean Virginia December 6-8, 2019. Running for more than 30 years, this much-loved, juried show offers 80+ talented artists and craftspeople the opportunity to display and sell their handmade, original craft or art in the recently renovated McLean Community Center. All media are eligible, including glass, ceramics, fiber/textile, natural materials, jewelry, metal work, woodwork, painting/drawing, mixed media, photography, basketry, soaps and skin care, candles and wax, paper, sculpture, specialty food, and other media. Out of the Box: Juried by Patrick Dougherty

The Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art at Auburn University is pleased to announce an open call for sculptors, aged 18 and older. Up to 15 finalists receive $1,500; $3,000 for first place, $1,500 for second place and $500 for Honorable Mention. This juried outdoor sculpture exhibition (October 4, 2019-October 4, 2020) is the fourth in a series of yearlong exhibitions and is the biggest and best yet, with up to 15 impressive outdoor sculptures to be exhibited on the grounds of both the new Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center and the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, otherwise known as the Arts District. The Young Affiliates, in collaboration with The Mint Museum, will host their fourth annual art show, "Coined in the South", at the museum's uptown location, October 11, 2019 - February 16, 2020 in Charlotte, NC. $15,000 in awards ($10,000 Jurors' Award; $5,000 YAM Member Favorite). Jurors: Marilyn Zapf, Adam N. Justice, & Jonell Logan. Open to both emerging and established artists who are either from, or currently working in, the Southeast. Each artist may submit up to five (5) works as part of their application. Works must have been produced within the last three years and ready to install by September 21. The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas in Pine Bluff, Arkansas announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, October 10, 2019 - January 4, 2020. $2,000 in purchase awards, $2,000 price awards, $1,000 in Best in Show. Media eligible include, glass, pottery, fiber/textile/leather, jewelry, metal work, woodwork, painting/drawing, printmaking, digital, mixed media, photography, sculpture, paper, décor, functional and recycled materials. All works demonstrated and sold must be handmade by the artisan juried in. Applications are available through Zapplication. $15 jury fee; $210-$350 booth fee. Booth sizes vary, but average approximately 100 sq. feet. This show has an ongoing jury, so each medium will be closed as soon as it's reached the designated limit. Waitlisting is also available. Images: A Festival of the Arts Call to Artists

The Atlantic Center for the Arts seeks artists for their 44th annual juried arts festival, January 24-26, 2020 at Riverside Drive and Canal Street in New Smyrna Beach, FL. $28,500 in awards. We offer 13 categories of art to choose from. Artists may apply from April 15, 2019 thru October 18, 2019 thru Zapplication.org. We require 3 images of your work and 1 image of your booth space.
