AMoA Biennial-600: Justice·Equality·Race·Identity

The Amarillo Museum of Art in Amarillo, Texas seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, October 22, 2021 - January 2, 2022. The AMoA will publish a catalog/brochure to document the exhibition. Each participating artist will receive two copies. Four awards will be chosen by the juror, Leslie Moody Castro: Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Artists must be 18 years of age or older and reside within a 600 mile radius of Amarillo, Texas. Any artwork that speaks to and illuminates the conversations around race, identity, social justice, social change, and/or social inequity in any form may be submitted for consideration. Artists whose work could be sited outdoors are encouraged to submit proposals, as are artists with installation-based practices (though the nature of the museum's interior spaces does impose limits). Artists whose work requires exceptionally challenging handling or installation may be required to assist with installation. $30 application fee. Illumination 2021 Call for Artists-Made Lanterns Proposals

Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington, NC announces call for artist proposals for Illumination 2021 from artists in the United States and Canada. Illumination, CAM's annual exhibition of artist-made lanterns, will be held November 28, 2021 - January 9, 2022. An opening celebration will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021. Artists of all experience levels and genres are encouraged to submit proposals. $1500 in cash prizes will be awarded. Art helps us to process collective trauma and find hope - and light - in darkness. Now, over a year into the pandemic, we see our world in a new light. We have found fresh imagination. The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts announces a call to artists for an outdoor sculpture exhibition, October 15, 2021 - August 1, 2023 at Sunken Garden Park in San Angelo, TX. 9th International Juried FL3TCH3R Exhibit - Social and Politically Engaged Art

The international "FL3TCH3R Exhibit: Social & Politically Engaged Art" at East Tennessee State University's Reece Museum in Johnson City, TN faithfully continues to represent the spirit of social and political movements of the country and world. The 2021 exhibition, which runs October 4 - December 10, will model same with a special award to an artist whose work reflects the "Protection of Voting Rights" movement. More than $1,500 in awards. Juror: Michael Ray Charles, a contemporary American painter and Distinguished Professor of Painting since 2014 at the University of Houston's School of Art. His work explores historic African American stereotypes from the Antebellum South. Work submitted should reflect current issues that affect contemporary culture and investigate societal and political concerns. Accepted media: audio/sound, ceramics, digital, fiber, glass, graphic design, jewelry/metals, mixed media (2D), mixed media (3D), painting, performance/installation (via video), photography, printmaking, sculpture, video/film, medical/health care and other. $40 for up to 3 entries ($45 after August 23rd), $10 per addt'l. Operation Military Masterpiece

Vet to Vet Tennessee announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition at the Robert "Bob" Hatley Veterans Service Center in Madisonville, TN. Up to $6,000 in awards. There will be Six Categories. Six Banner Designs, one for each Branch of Service: Army, Marine, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Space Force. Artists may enter all six categories. Artworks will be juried based on creativity of the artist's representation of the military branch. This is a family-friendly art show, any work deemed unsuitable will be rejected. Only original 2D artworks on a flat surface will be accepted (no reproductions or copies permitted). Winning artworks will be scanned and professionally printed on a 5 ft wide by 10 ft tall banner. The artwork must be in full color and 18 inches wide by 24 inches tall. Computer Graphics must be in 300dpi or higher. Old Florida Celebration of the Arts in Cedar Key

Cedar Key Arts Center seeks artists for the Old Florida Celebration of the Arts, held April 9 & 10, 2022 at Historic 2nd Street in Cedar Key, FL. $15,000 in prizes and purchase awards. Breaking Through: The Rise of American Women Artists

American Women Artists seeks entries for a national juried art exhibition, March 5 - May 29, 2022 at the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center in Clarksville, TN. Approx. $25,000 in cash and merchandise awards, including a $10,000 Grand Prize. Open to AWA Members in good standing (2022 membership). Only on-line entries will be accepted.
