We feature painters, sculptors, photographers, mixed media artists as well as specialty wood, glass and metal artisans. Photographic call for entry "unique: alternative processes 2018"

A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, TX seeks entries for a juried photography exhibition, September 7 to November 18, 2018. Thirty to thirty five images will be selected. Receptions will be held on September 29 and October 27. A Blurb full color catalogue with all the accepted entries will be available for purchase. Awards are $325 for Juror's Selection, $250 for Director's Selection and $100 for Visitors' Award. Juror: Diana Bloomfield. Photographers of all levels are invited to submit work reflecting the theme "unique: alternative processes." The Bicycle: Art Meets Form

Theatre Art Galleries in High Point, NC announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, August 30 - September 28, 2018. First Place: $1000, Second Place: $500, and Third Place: $250. Juror: Dr. Emily Stamey, Curator of Exhibitions at the Weatherspoon Art Museum at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. Artists may submit a maximum of 3 entries in any medium, including photography. Subject matter must relate in some way to bicycles or cycling. Work must be original and must have been completed within the last ten years. Giclees, copies, reproductions or kit work will not be accepted. 2D work must be framed (or "gallery wrapped") and wired for hanging (no saw tooth hangers accepted). 3D work must come with display instructions. Images must show work from at least 3 sides. Artists are responsible for delivery and pickup of work and any cost associated. Open to all artists who are 18 years of age or older. Virginia Fall Foliage Art Show

The Shenandoah Valley Art Center announces a call to artists for the Virginia Fall Foliage Art Show, October 13 and 14, 2018 on the streets of historic downtown Waynesboro, Virginia. $10,000 in awards. All works must be the artist's original creation, both planning and execution. No agents allowed: artist must be on site for the duration of the show. We do not allow: buy/sell, gourmet foods, dealers, agents, manufactured items, or work produced from kits. All applicants must submit four images of their work and one image of their display set up, including work. If you do not have an image of your booth set-up, please submit a photo of a grouping of work to showcase scale and consistency of work. Merged: A National Exhibition of Self Expressive Collage and Assemblage

The d'Art Center in Norfolk, VA announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, September 8 - October 6, 2018. 1st Place: $500, 2nd Place: $300, 3rd Place: $150. Juror: Peter Eudenbach, Chair of the Art Department at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Merged is an exhibition of self expressive collage and assemblage artworks that is open to all artists (18 and older) living in the United States. Art of the Heartland National Competition

SouthWest Artists, Inc. seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, September 26 - October 27 at the Mena Art Gallery in Mena, Arkansas. $8,600 in awards including $4,000 Best in Show; two $500 awards per subject category. Juror: Brad Cushman. Two dimensional paintings in all mediums are accepted with a maximum, framed size of 36 inches. This annual competition attracts some of the nation's finest artists. 10th Annual Expressions Portrait Competition and Exhibit

ArtSpace Herndon announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, October 2-27, 2018 in Herndon, VA. $1,000 in awards. Juror: Jill Banks. Open to artists 18 years or older residing in Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, West Virginia, and Delaware. Preference will be given to works adhering to the traditional definition of portraiture: "a painting, sculpture, or other artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant. MLK Days 2019 Residency Opportunity

Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center invites artists to submit a community arts project proposal inspired by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., his life, his vision, his work. A modest honorarium and project budget will be provided. The project coincides with our annual MLK Days program in January, and may remain on display through February. The project may result in a short or long term installation to be exhibited in the sculpture garden or one of the galleries. Artist must be willing to engage with visitors during the three days of the program. Residency length: minimum 3 days, up to 1 week. Annmarie's residency program provides a serene place on the Western Shore of the Chesapeake Bay for visual, musical, and literary artists to design and produce a community arts project. Most artists run their project through Annmarie's creative reuse center, called the artLAB, where artists are encouraged to incorporate recycled or repurposed materials into their project. Artists will also have access to the galleries, a private studio space, the clay studio, the 30 acre sculpture garden, the waterfront area, etc. Residencies are meant to focus on community arts projects; those that merge arts and the environment are particularly desirable. Embracing Our Differences International Art Exhibit Celebrating Diversity

Art is a powerful tool to evoke social change. Since 2004, Embracing Our Differences has used the power of art and prose to promote diversity. One way we accomplish this is through our annual international art exhibition in Sarasota's Bayfront Park, January 19 - March 14, 2019. The juried exhibit consists of 45 billboard-size images, each work of art is created by local, national and international artists reflecting their interpretation of our theme "enriching lives through diversity and inclusion." The Art League of Hilton Head announces a call to artists for a juried exhibition, to be held December 4-29, 2018 at Art League of Hilton Head's beautiful gallery located inside Arts Center of Coastal Carolina on Hilton Head Island, SC. Over $4,000 in cash prizes will be awarded by a nationally recognized juror. Seeking 2D and 3D fine art craft entries that encompass exemplary creativity, experimentation, and imagination, showcasing what can be accomplished with few restrictions.
