Aberrant Creativity: An International Exhibition Call for Artists
The Arts Council of Brazos Valley and Texas A&M University announce a call to artists for an upcoming art exhibition, November 14 - December 15, 2023 in College Station, TX. Awards: Best in Show: $500, 4 other awards: $250 each. Open worldwide to artists using artificial intelligence in their creative workflows. Submissions must feature original works created in collaboration with AI, or works that explore the relationship between human and AI in the creative process. Tittle McFadden Public Safety Center Public Art
The City of Lewisville, Texas, is currently constructing the Tittle McFadden Public Safety Center and has a strong desire to accent the new facility with a visually striking exterior public art installation outside the building's entrance. The placement and vision of the project lends itself to sculpture or similarly durable artwork in a range of materials proven able to withstand the extremes of Texas weather, with sufficient visual appeal to complement the scale and architecture of the building. Seeking a unique, one-of-a-kind, monument-sized artwork that is appropriate for placement in front of a public safety facility and for the diverse Lewisville community. Our vision is for something in a contemporary style that is visually striking and can be seen from the nearby intersection of Main Street and Valley Parkway. $320,000 USD budget. Request for Qualifications for Temporary Public Art Installation
Druid Hills Presbyterian Church (DHPC) in Atlanta, GA is seeking qualifications from artists or artist teams for public artwork that will be situated at the front of the DHPC campus located at 1026 Ponce De Leon Avenue. The project budget is $25,000. The artwork will be displayed temporarily in this location for a period of up to one year. DHPC is particularly interested in either: A) Sculpture that beckons motorists and is interactive for pedestrians. B) Projections or lighting that engages both pedestrians and vehicles. The piece must be suitable for outdoors with the ability to withstand the elements of the local climate as well as interaction with the general public (no sharp edges or elements which might present a possible danger). Embracing Our Differences Outdoor Art Exhibition
Embracing Our Differences is seeking submissions for an outdoor juried art exhibit featuring 50 billboard size images created by local, national and international artists. The display reflects the artists' interpretations of the theme "enriching lives through diversity." The exhibit will be on display from January 21 through April 14, 2024, in two locations in Sarasota and Pinellas counties in Florida. The winning artworks combine a deep understanding of both medium and message. Awards are given for "Best-in-Show Adult," "Best-in-Show Student," and "People's Choice." Adult winners each receive $2,000; students receive $2,000 with $1,000 to be directed to the student and $1,000 to their school's art program, if they worked under the direction of an educator. Art Takeover Public Sculpture - One Year Display
The Carrollton Center for the Arts is accepting proposals from local and regional professional artists for a one-year (March 2024 - March 2025) public sculpture installation at the Neva Lomason Memorial Library near downtown Carrollton, Georgia. Sculptures should have a library, reading or books theme or be interesting to children and families. Originality and visual impact will be considered. The selected sculpture will be installed on a 6' x 6' exterior concrete pad. The selected artist will receive a $3,000 stipend to cover the lease and transportation of the sculpture and labor, equipment and any other costs of installing and removing the artwork.
