The 26th San Angelo North American Ceramic Competition
The 26th San Angelo North American Ceramic Competition is open to ceramic artists, 18 or older, in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The exhibition is held April 17 - June 21, 2026 at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts in San Angelo, TX. Six cash prizes will be awarded, totaling $6,000. Juror: Linda Ganstrom. All work, both functional and sculptural, must have been completed within the last two years. Works previously accepted into this competition are ineligible. As long as the works contain ceramic or clay, mixed-media, multi-media, video, installations and collaborations are welcome. There is no size limit. $20 entry fee. Deadline: January 31, 2026. M.A.D. Make A Difference Art Exhibition & Sale
Taking place March 20-22, 2026 at Station No.2 in Wilmington, NC, this national juried exhibition invites artists and audiences to explore how art can be a catalyst for change. Presented by ARTnNCevents, M.A.D. showcases powerful works that confront, question, and inspire. The theme challenges artists to interpret what it means to make a difference in their own lives, in their communities, and in the world. Whether it's choosing self-care, advocating for justice, protecting the environment, or fostering connection, this show celebrates the many ways we can take meaningful action. M.A.D. will feature artists across a range of mediums - from painting and sculpture to photography and mixed media - each telling stories of resilience, activism, growth, and vision. The International 2026
Artists worldwide are invited to submit artwork for the 28th annual "The International" portrait competition, that will showcase the finest in portraiture and figurative art today. Over $170,000 in cash and awards will be presented, with a $50,000 cash Grand Prize. All winners will receive recognition in International Artist magazine, The Art of the Portrait journal and on the Portrait Society's website. A variety of mediums is encouraged and welcomed. The Academy Center of the Arts in Lynchburg, VA announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, April 3-24, 2026. Cash Awards with Best in Show- $1000. Juror: Heath Ballowe. Open to U.S. residents, 18 years or older, working in the following disciplines; painting, photography, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, fiber, glass, ceramics, wood, metal and mixed media. Art Center of Corpus Christi: South TX and National Artist-in-Residence
The Art Center of Corpus Christi (ACCC) is taking applications for an Artist-in-Residence Program offered in collaboration with Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi's Center for Coastal Studies (CCS). The program runs for 2 weeks, including a 5-day stay at the Laguna Madre Field Station (LMFS), an off-grid research station built on an island in the Laguna Madre. For a 1-week period following the stay at LMFS, ACCC will provide the artist with dedicated time and space to create art inspired by the unique ecosystems of the Laguna Madre. Works will be exhibited in a solo exhibition at ACCC where the resident will give a brief presentation. The artist will also complete marketing opportunities including, but not limited to, radio interviews, TV interviews, and social media marketing. This residency includes a $2,000 stipend for the regional (South Texas) artist and a $4,000 stipend for the national/international artist.
