27th SculptFest

Sculptors are invited to submit entries for the 27th SculptFest, held April 26-28, 2019 at Centennial Plaza in Round Rock, Texas. Awards will be made and the City will purchase a sculpture from an exhibitor. This major invitational show will include approximately 80 sculptors hailing from across Texas and throughout the U.S. The show will feature a huge selection of miniature to monumental size sculptures as well as sculpture demonstrations including stone carving and bronze pouring. All types of sculpture will be accepted but will be juried. The City of Round Rock spent a significant amount of money for the 26th SculptFest in April 2018 and the Allen Houser exhibit. Community business leaders and the SculptFest hosts believe that a top sculpture show attracting visitors makes a significant contribution to economic development. Traffic Box Art RFQ - Odessa, TX

Odessa Arts is seeking applications from artists and designers interested in creating artwork for four electrical boxes at the intersections of 52nd & Tanglewood, 52nd & JBS Parkway, and the East and West Entrances of Music City Mall. The boxes will become part of an Outdoor Gallery of Public Art, joining twenty already completed boxes. The completed boxes will be unveiled in Spring 2019. One artist or designer will be selected for this opportunity and will be paid an all-inclusive fee of $4000 to create the artwork. We are seeking an artist or designer who will approach the boxes as a family of art works and can create a unified and artistically interesting body of work. The chosen artist will be required to submit a design for four traffic utility boxes. The boxes will be wrapped with adhesive vinyl on which the art has been printed. Deadline: February 28, 2019.
