Public Art Sculpture - Gulf War Tribute
The Ormond Memorial Art Museum in Ormond Beach, Florida seeks proposals from professional artists and sculptors to design, permit, fabricate, and install a permanent public art sculpture honoring Gulf War veterans, including those who served during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. This significant public art project will result in a landmark installation within the museum's gardens - an inspiring space where art, nature, and remembrance come together to honor those who fought for freedom. The selected artist or artist team will design, fabricate, and install a sculpture that reflects the defining characteristics of the Gulf War: precision, unity, bravery, and national pride. A central narrative element of the project is the historic "100 hours" ground campaign - symbolizing the speed, coordination, and effectiveness of the mission. Budget: $25,000-$35,000.
