Artists are invited to apply for a juried exhibition at the Gloucester Arts Festival, held Friday, June 5th through Sunday, June 28th, 2020 in Gloucester, VA. Over $6,000 total prizes given. Juror: Mary Holland. The theme of the festival is water, both in nature and in human experience (e.g., industrial settings, conservation efforts, community life, spiritual dimensions, etc.). Submitted art should embody this theme. Accepted media include acrylic, ceramic, charcoal, colored pencil, encaustic, fiber art, glass, graphite, metal, mixed media, oil, original pen and ink, original print, pastel, photography, stone, tempera, watercolor, and wood. $40 for 1-5 works. Watercolor Expressions

Berkeley Arts Council is pleased to announce a call for artists for its national Juried Watercolor Exhibit, "Watercolor Expressions" to open May 20, 2020 at the Berkeley Art Works in Martinsburg, WV. $1,000 in awards. Juror: Lynn Ferris. Open to all artists using watercolor as a critical component of their work and includes portraits, figures, landscapes, still lifes, animals, abstracts and floral themes. Exhibit is open to all watercolor artists throughout the continental United States over the age of 18. Entries must be original works of art that have been completed within the last three (3) years, and have been previously exhibited in the Berkeley Art Works. $35 for two works; $10 each for up to two additional works. 76th Waterford Fair

Waterford Foundation Inc. announces a call to artists for the 76th Waterford Fair, held October 2-4, 2020 at the National Historic Landmark village of Waterford, VA. Heritage and contemporary artisans producing in the following mediums are invited to apply to this truly unique event: basketry, clay, fiber/textile, furniture, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media/other, paper and wood. The Waterford Fair is open to demonstrating artisans who produce fine goods, crafted using materials and tools traditionally used in America in the 18th and 19th centuries. Goods may be traditional or contemporary in style. All work must be original in concept and design and be made and displayed by the artisan. The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art in Marietta, GA announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, July 11 - September 6, 2020. First Place: $750, Second Place: $500, Third Place: $250. Selections will be made by Madeline Beck (Curator of MCMA) and an anonymous panel of jurors. Eligible media includes but is not limited to: oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, ink, pencil, mixed media, collage, printmaking, photography, sculpture, pottery, mosaic, and fiber. Dorothea Lange-Paul Taylor Prize

The Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University seeks entries for the Dorothea Lange-Paul Taylor Prize. The winner receives $10,000, features in Center for Documentary Studies' digital publications, and inclusion in the Archive of Documentary Arts at Rubenstein Library, Duke University, in Durham, NC. Open to documentary artists of any age and nationality. The Lange-Taylor Prize is intended to support artists, working alone or in teams, who are engaged in extended, ongoing fieldwork projects that fully exploit the relationship of words and images in the powerful, persuasive representation of a subject. 2020 Summer Regional Art Show

The Associated Artists of Southport announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, June 15 - July 11, 2020 at the Franklin Square Gallery in Southport, North Carolina. Fantasy Fest Poster Contest

The Key West Tourist Development Association invites artists to enter the Fantasy Fest Poster Contest for Fantasy Fest 2020, held October 16-25 at Key West, FL. The selected artist will be awarded $750, a signing party and recognition as the official poster/t-shirt for Fantasy Fest 2020. Posters may be horizontal or vertical, with a preferred size of 18"x24". The Key West Tourist Development Association may ask artists to make modifications to artwork proposals. Artists are asked to include the words "Fantasy Fest" and the 2020 theme words "Roaring 2020's & Future Fictions". DeLand Fall Festival of the Arts

Celebrating its 28th year, the DeLand Fall Festival of the Arts, DeLand's only juried fine art festival, is held on the main street of historic downtown DeLand, November 21 & 22, 2020. Awards: $50,000+. This popular and charming backdrop also has easy and accessible set-up for artists. DeLand was voted America's Best Mainstreet in 2017 and the DeLand Fall Festival of the Arts was voted the best outdoor fine art festival by Florida Living Magazine.
