This fun workshop gives you the chance to play with glass! You will create your own 8" x 8" plate using glass as your canvas. No painting experience is necessary! This is a fun workshop so bring a friend and create something new! Once you’ve finished your creations, Kathy will take them to her studio, fire them in the kiln and then return the finished plates to the Academy for you to pick up a week later. In addition to the registration cost, students should bring $20 cash to pay the instructor for their materials, which she will provide for you.

Perfect for all skill levels, this hands-on class invites you to design and craft your own stunning mosaic suncatcher using cut glass, mixed media, and found materials. Instead of traditional grout, you’ll pour resin into your mold, creating a luminous, translucent finish that captures and reflects light in dazzling ways. Guided step-by-step, you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind suncatcher that glows with color, creativity, and your personal artistic touch. Resin casts will take several days to dry.
