"Loosen Up Your Paintings"

This workshop is for all skill levels from beginner to advanced. Penix will cover topics such as the power of warms and cools, complementaries, harmony, edges, shape-quality, variety, simplifying, loosening brushwork, elements of design, elements of light and shadow, the power of suggestion and seeing in terms of mass and shape relationships. There will be a strong emphasis on making your paintings more three-dimensional. Students will use oils (other mediums are welcome) to paint from photos. They will have a choice of dozens of photographs consisting of boats, cityscapes, figures, birds, hanging fruit and fish. Students will also have the option to paint from their own photos if they choose.

"MultiColored Elephant - Zoom Watercolor Workshop"

Paint along with award-winning artist Venarella Hinkle in this 4-hour Zoom Watercolor Workshop (June 3, 1-5PM CT) geared to adults with beginning/intermediate watercolor skills. The primary focus of this workshop is on "How to Get Values Correct in Your Paintings". The class goal is to learn new techniques and to have a finished painting you will be proud of. "Kids Summer Art Classes: Doodle Birds"

"Kids Summer Art Classes: Animals Everywhere | Ages 9 - 12"

Using a lightbox, students will learn to trace the contours of their chosen animal from at least 3 angles, exploring its form and character. After tracing, it's time to bring their creations to life with vibrant watercolors, adding splashes of color to their artwork. Once dry, markers will be used to add intricate details and textures. "Flora & Fauna in Watercolor"

The first day. Students will focus on the fauna, watercolor techniques, positive and negative space, fur, scales, feathers, eyes, claws, paws, texture, and other details of curiosity. Day Two. The focus will be on the flora, some select plants of the region, watercolor techniques, wildflowers, garden blossoms, leaves, shapes, color, texture, light, dark, positive shapes, negative space and other details of the wonder and magic of watercolor. "Cute Squirrel - Soft Pastel Workshop"
