Say Their Names: Black Lives Matter

Drury University seeks entries for an upcoming exhibition, February 5-26, 2021 at Pool Art Center Gallery in Springfield, MO. For this twofold exhibition, we invite artists to submit photographs of the Black Lives Matter protests. The show seeks to highlight citizens who have taken to the streets to peacefully protest violence and racism. We also invite artists to submit works created in honor of specific individuals who have been brutalized or killed because of racism (throughout history). Areas of the gallery will be devoted to memorials of these individuals. The BLM protest photographs will be exhibited in between the memorials. Accepted artists will be invited to donate a work that will be auctioned with 100% of proceeds going to Drury scholarships for African American students. Artists will not be required to donate works; it is purely voluntary. Open to artists over the age of 18 living in the U.S. Up to 3 entries per artist. BLM documentary images should be photographs. Homage memorial images can be in any medium. 2-D works should be no larger than 24x30 inches and must be framed and ready for display. 3-D works are limited to 3x3 feet. University of North Carolina Asheville announces a call to artists for a juried international online and in-print exhibition of contemporary drawing, debuting on January 22, 2021. $2000 cash awards and a purchase prize. Juror: Pamela Phatismo Sunstrum. UNC Asheville seeks to examine drawing as it is practiced and defined by today's artists. Mayfaire by-the-Lake

Begun as a crafts fair on the lawn of the Lakeland Public Library, Mayfaire by-the-Lake, coordinated by the Polk Museum of Art at Florida Southern College, has grown into one of Florida's premier outdoor art festivals. Held on Mother's Day weekend (May 8 & 9, 2021), Mayfaire is located on the shores of beautiful Lake Morton in downtown Lakeland, Florida. The Red River Watercolor Society announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, June 7 - August 7, 2021 at Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead, MN. $5000+ Cash and Prizes. Juror: Robbie Laird, NWS, SDWS, SLMM, WW. Open to all artists 18-years of age and older, working in two-dimensional water media. Original work only. No supervision, no class work, no copies of other artists' work, and no work from photographs not created by the artist. American Women Artists seeks entries for an online art exhibition. Approx. $10,000 in cash and merchandise awards. Seeking representational or non-objective/abstract works, either 2D or 3D. The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, WI invites submissions to its annual juried Birds in Art exhibition, Sept. 11 - Nov. 28, 2021.
