Signs of Rural Life juried exhibit

Blue Cat Gallery & Studio in Wayne, NE seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, July 9 - August 8, 2026. Awards: 1st ($250), 2nd ($175), 3rd ($125) and People's Choice ($75). Juror: Christopher Atkins. Open to artists of all career levels from emerging to professional, 18 years of age or older. Artwork must have been created in the last five years (and not previously accepted to Signs of Rural Life juried exhibition). Max Size: no side larger than 50 inches. 3-D work: no more than 18" wide or deep. Any media including painting, works on paper, printmaking, photography, sculpture (excluding installation art). The Sweep of Time: Beyond the Horizon

The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, invites visual artists and designers to submit original lens-based works that explore the orientation of time. Includes honorarium of $50 for each exhibiting artist and Grand Jury Award of $1,000 for one jury-selected work from among the exhibits on view. The Bennett Prize 5

The Bennett Prize is a stipend/grant-in-aid program established by American art collectors Steven Alan Bennett and Dr. Elaine Melotti Schmidt to support women figurative realist painters. The Bennett Prize, administered by The Muskegon Museum of Art (MMA), is awarded biennially and provides $75,000 over two consecutive years ($37,500 annually). Ten (10) finalists will be selected to participate in a traveling exhibition organized by the MMA and the winner will be showcased in a solo exhibition at the close of her grant. A runner up award of $10,000 will be given to one additional finalist. Open only to women 18 years or older who reside at least part time in the United States (U.S. citizenship not required) and who paint figurative realist paintings. Artists may not be enrolled in school and must be currently pursuing or hope to pursue a career as a full-time painter. No students or artists who have received a prior award or grant of $35,000 or have sold any single work of art for $35,000 or more. $50 entry fee. Deadline: September 19, 2026. More info.
