The Maryland Federation of Art seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, January 30 - February 22, 2025 at the Circle Gallery in Annapolis, Maryland. $1000 in awards. Juror: Jennifer Figg, Associate Professor, 3D Foundations Area Coordinator at Towson. Computer software and technology have forever expanded the ways artists capture and produce their work. Artists can weave together scenes in photoshop, produce paintings through a screen, create videos, animations, and projections that transport us to new worlds, or even sculpt using a 3D printer. Any original 2D or 3D image based work created and/or produced through digital software and following exhibition guidelines will be considered. 1 or 2 entries: $45 ($30 for MFA Members). 4 additional entries: $6.75 each ($4.50). Request for Qualifications: Wall Artist Roster - Prince George's County
The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George's County's Artist Roster serves as a bridge connecting talented artists in the Greater Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia Metropolitan area to exciting commissions for wall art projects. M-NCPPC is actively seeking muralists, as well as artists proficient in mosaic tile, low-relief, and other installation media suitable for installations on exterior walls. We especially encourage artists in the Prince George's County area to apply. Microcosm: Upstream Gallery Small Works 2025
Upstream Gallery in Hastings on Hudson, NY (20 minutes from Manhattan) seeks entries for a small works exhibition, January 9-26, 2025. Every work of art is a universe of its own. For this year's Small Works show, we invite artists to submit work that speaks to the idea of the microcosm: an echo of a larger universe. U.S. National entries in all media are welcome including drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, non-photographic digital images and sculpture. No photography. 35th Biennial Creative Crafts Council Exhibition
The Creative Crafts Council will present the 35th Biennial Exhibition, March 15 - May 24, 2025 at The Mansion at Strathmore in North Bethesda, Maryland. The exhibit will feature some of the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia region's top work in ceramics, enamel, fiber, glass, metal, mixed media, wood, book arts, and jewelry and wearable art. Fine craft artworks will be selected by three jurors based on: quality of the design, creativity, and originality; execution and craftsmanship/workmanship; and overall impact and impression of the work. All artists living, working, and/or going to school in Virginia, Maryland, or DC or who are members of sponsoring guilds residing anywhere may submit up to 4 craft artworks produced in 2022 or later. Upstream Gallery Membership
Upstream Gallery in Hastings on Hudson, NY is currently welcoming membership applications from area artists. Submissions are reviewed each month. New members are voted into the gallery by a majority vote of the existing membership after an evaluation of work examined via the applicant's website and actual examples of art submitted for review. Member artists are expected to participate in the operation of the gallery, which includes working at the gallery one or two days a month, installing, or taking down shows, helping with our newsletter or numerous other tasks and responsibilities. The New England Sculptors Association (NESA) and the Nordblom Company are sponsoring this call for art seeking an outdoor sculpture to be placed in the retail area of 3rd Avenue in Burlington, MA. Project budget for permanent installation: $20,000. This will be the third sculpture in a series of works that are designed to enhance the outdoor environment of this upscale suburban location which includes shopping, dining, and lodging venues. Artists worldwide are invited to apply for the Syracuse Arts & Crafts Festival, held July 25-27, 2025 at Cathedral Square / Columbus Circle in Downtown Syracuse, NY. $3000 in awards. All work displayed must be original and designed and handcrafted by the exhibiting artist. Reproductions must involve hand work or direct supervision by the artist, be clearly labeled "reproduction" and may not make up more than 20% of the booth inventory.
