Scheduled slide lectures will demonstrate woodcuts contribution to the development of illustrated books as well as discussing the careers and visions of major practitioners past and present. This fun workshop gives you the chance to play with glass! You will create your own mini glass dishes using glass as your canvas. No painting experience is necessary! This is a fun workshop so bring a friend and create something new! Once you’ve finished your creations, Kathy will take them to her studio, fire them in the kiln and then return the finished dishes to the Academy for you to pick up a week later. Learn botanical artist Denise Walser-Kolar’s approach to painting on vellum during this five-day workshop at the beautiful Atelier Clos Mirabel in South West France.
