Join local mosaics artist Ryan McGivern for this exciting half-day session, perfect for students of any level looking for a fun, laid back atmosphere or a creative night out! Students will make their very own piece with a small sea turtle base and using precut glass, tiles and other mixed media items. Ryan will show students how to design & execute the creation of their own personal one-of-a-kind gift or keepsake. The instructor will grout the works and have them ready for pickup on Friday, July 31st (10am to 2pm).

This fun workshop gives you the chance to play with glass! You will create your own 8" x 8" plate using glass as your canvas. No painting experience is necessary! This is a fun workshop so bring a friend and create something new! Once you’ve finished your creations, Kathy will take them to her studio, fire them in the kiln and then return the finished plates to the Academy for you to pick up a week later. In addition to the registration cost, students should bring $20 cash to pay the instructor for materials, which she will provide for you.
