"The Six Essential Skill Sets of Drawing"
March 23-25, 2018

In this three-day intensive workshop, California artist David Lobenberg will cover the six primary skill sets of drawing: angles, proportion, position, contours, values, and shapes. David will present, discuss, and demonstrate each skill set, then follow up with an exercise specifically designed to effectively practice each. The presentation order of skill sets is designed to be cumulative, so participants can continue to practice previously taught skills in their exercises as they simultaneously work with the most recently taught skills. Participants will be provided with visual learning tools and handouts as part of the workshop format. This class is for the novice who wants to learn how to draw, as well as for those who struggle with drawing and want to become better at it.
