Wednedays, April 22 - June 3, 2026
This internet ceramics critique class will use Zoom to review many ceramic artists weekly through the internet, evaluating pottery for its form, technique, and meaning. We will discuss a design element, such as line or texture, and then look at ceramic artists or sculptures representing these design elements. We will look at the artist's intent and presentation of their work. Reviewing other people's work, techniques, and artistic intent can help you clarify your thoughts, evaluate your work, and make better pottery. We will explore what it means to be a practicing ceramic artist, and will focus on current art issues and design presentation of your art to increase your opportunities for exhibits and shows.
