"Blues, Blues and Iridescent Blues! Portrait of An Iceberg (Online)"
October 4-6, 2021

Our painting will be a major lesson in the use of warm and cool blues and greens to show the great caverns and fissures carved out of the iceberg by the waves and currents of the North Atlantic. The forms turn and curve and retreat in and out of light and shadow. The iridescent pigments give a shimmer to the surface that is very effective in painting the textured surface of the ice. Designing shapes, new mixtures of pigments and the foundation of watercolor will all be covered in the class.
