Natalia will lead you through the steps of designing your composition, format selection, judgments of perspective and illumination; she will discuss techniques of working with color and will take you all the way, till the very final touch. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to create impressionistic art with a Signature Member of the American Impressionist Society.

"Oil Painting Landscape workshop"

A three-day workshop with Al Slavin where we will learn how to use dynamic light in your landscape paintings to create an emotional bond with your viewer. We will focus on clouds and trees to showcase the light. Also emphasized: color theory, values, design and composition, the use of mediums and techniques. The paintings of Al Slavin call to mind magical memories and the promise of a beautiful future. He has the unique ability to capture with brushstrokes all that is good and right with the world and condense it into mystical scenes of enchanted light.

"Charcoal Landscape drawing workshop"
May 3-4, 2025
 

In this charcoal landscape drawing 2-day workshop we will create a landscape with great depth using a wide range of values from very light to extremely dark. We will use different types of charcoal including white for highlights. This will be an exercise of controlling lights and darks to create a 3-dimensional environment. All skill levels are welcome.

"Using Design & Color in your Paintings"
May 8-10, 2025
 

June will work with each person individually as well as with the group. Each participant will be working from photographs, either their own or one of June’s. She will bring her personal collection of photographs that she has painted from & that will make good paintings. June will concentrate on color and design so landscapes and figurative pieces will all be acceptable subjects. She will also address values, drawing, lighting, & other topics related to making great paintings. She will critique your art and you can also bring a finished painting for a critique. She takes each participant where they are and helps them to move up to the next level in their art.
