Learn the different stages of wood turning in this hands-on workshop offered at the Studios Woodshop where you will learn to create a wooden bowl. Students will learn how to use a lathe to turn a block of wood until the edges are smooth and the curvature is just as desired. Students will also seal their bowl with a simple food-safe finish. Trevor Martineau is originally from Syracuse, NY but now calls Key West home. Trevor has been woodturning for about 20 years. His journey started when he bought a small Craftsman lathe to turn some spindles for a table. He began turning bowls in 2007, falling in love with the craft, and has continued to advance his skills since then.
