Jorge Luis Bernal - Painting Cold Wax/Oil Workshops in Santa Fe, NM

Jorge started teaching art and painting in 1990. His work and teaching approach is about his life journeys: those that he has taken and the journey that the artwork has taken in his studio. He teaches encaustic monotypes and cold wax-oil painting in Santa Fe, NM. His artwork and teaching method is about mark-making, colors and creating new forms and abstractions that may at first appear messy and perhaps complicated, but his process provides for a conversation to surface with ideas and a new narrative. Shapes and lines are born from places and objects, broken down and transformed into something new. Intuition overcomes intention and creates an energy and a voice. I invite you to join me on this journey.

Wild Botanicals: Botanical Monoprinting & Plant Lore Retreat - Italy

Join printmaker Megan Hunter and medical herbalist Julia Behrens for a week of botanical monoprinting and immersion in the Umbrian countryside, held in a restored historic villa surrounded by gardens and rolling hills. This retreat brings together studio-based printmaking and exploration of local flora, understood within its ecological, medicinal, and cultural context. Working between landscape and studio, participants develop layered monoprints through colour, texture and composition, building a body of work shaped by place and process. Prints may be framed or developed into a botanical field journal with written observations. Guided walks, shared meals, regional cuisine, wine and olive oil tastings, and village visits form the rhythm of the week. A creative retreat where making, observing and place remain inseparable.
